Champions, I don't quite have the stuff yet (stalking the mailperson), but it's 100% clear from their descriptions that these are designed to be added to tobacco, to "color" the raw tobacco flavor. Most of us have never tasted unflavored tobacco, so to mentally subtract out the contribution of the tobacco itself in a manufactured mix like a pack of Camels is almost impossible. You and I both are going to have to try it. What Rex says is worrisome, even though I ordered the concentrate, if he can spray what is a 25% solution of the concentrate in his mouth and barely taste it! I'm hoping he's "spoiled" by very strong flavors.

MTH and jdh5484 are talking about a "better Dekang Mboro" they make with 1% FA Burley, 0.3% FA Virginia, 0.3% FA Desert Ship and a whopping 6.6 % of concentrated Seedman Commercial. That gives us an idea of what the "Seedman commercial" contributes, and probably no more than the equivalent of 0.3 to 1% of a FA "tobacco flavor", so maybe 1/10 as strong. The fact that Dan adds so much Tobacco Absolute + Ethyl Maltol also says a lot.

That's why I'm confused because post #6 says no TA needed.

Dan had said that, QUOTE FROM DAN

Correct TOB506 COMMERCIAL CIGARETTE + nicotine PG and/or VG = a malboro flavor IMO. I have had two others try my sample and they wanted more.
Of course I dont use as much flavoring as others as my tastebuds returned and I can get by with 5% flavoring.
Hope this helps,
Dan

And that is the post he said no Tobacco absolute was needed and it would taste like a marlboro in his opinion. However I still am not sure how if he is using this diluted stuff he can get that taste from it.. Like I said I sprayed it directly into my mouth LOL and I hardly get much flavor from it.. Its very diluted and what flavor I did get was a sweet flavor of something but by far anything like a cigarette..

I will say I have had some strong flavors but this stuff is WEAAAKKK. This commercial diluted stuff from seedman is like sugar water. All I taste is like a cotton candy sugary alcohol which I think is the ethyl maltol that it contains or something.

I'm confused about that too because looking at the site the ones that come in a spray are not concentrated, they are pre mixed.

No what I got was NOT concentrated at all it was very much diluted.. in a spray bottle. and maybe if it was concentrated it may have a Marlboro taste but I question that now tasting it at a diluted level.

Might want to re-read post number 140#

I use the concentrated commercial at 15% and to me it has plenty of flavor and i don't use TA in except for the times I want a grassy hay kind of taste which is almost never. I have also tried the Virginia Fire Cure and I like it even more than the commercial which I didn't think was possible but then again I also mixed five different Seedman flavors together and the taste was so yummy that I can't get enough of it.

Ok, the fruit o' Seedman just arrived. Within minutes my office smelled as if I'd lit a bunch of art fair hippie candles. They are in some ways scents more than flavors, and way less than 1/10 the strength of say FlavourArt flavors. There's a vanilla something scent they all share.

The honey hammers a soap-perfumey vanilla honey scent/taste a bit like Perfumer's Apprentice Honey Flavor, but vastly diluted and retooled to trailer-park soap-making standards. It probably tastes nice in low concentration (THAT is not hard to do).

The Captain Black indeed reminds me of cheap pipe tobacco, with its high perfumey "aromatic" note, whatever that is. As kids in France we used to buy "Amsterdamer" tobacco a lot like that. Among serious pipe smokers, dime store aromatic cavendish tobaccos like Captain Black are considered overly perfumed and recklessly sweetened, not "elegant." Still, this is a scent/flavor that is overwhelmingly "sweet and nice", and hard to resist. Many women seem to love them as a romantic fireplace complement, as in "Oh, Hef, I love it when you smoke your pipe in your paisley silk bathrobe, Ahhh!"

The Commercial Cigarette is the most interesting. My dog, who loves vape, seems to think they all have potential. He's not terribly critical, but he's usually right. He licked the Commercial finger the most. It has a broader and more complex flavor, with a more manly bergamot sandalwood vanilla aftershave fig chocolatey thing. It might EVEN suggest something like Dekang Marbro reborn as a deodorant. Their role in making tobacco "rich and moist" (and profitably heavy) means the flavoring sits in a lot of glycerin or propylene glycol (solely PG since a few months ago). Their citric acid and dextrose levels are not likely high enough to damage the atomizer. Will report on actual mixes later.

To clear up some confusion, when I first tried the seedmans flavors they were not using PG as their base. A couple months later they switched their entire line over to a PG base. The initial flavors I recieved (non-PG based) were stronger and tasted better IMO. That is why I moved to the concentrate and others that tried it here said it was missing something. I added TA to the mix and let them try the revised version which was met people that liked it better with the TA. So I have been adding in TA and EM ever since. Everyone has their own taste, some like it, some hate it, some love it. Me I love it with the additional enhancement of the TA.
Hope this helps a little in the confusion department :)

ok I see well I am going to pure this diluted stuff down the drain and consider my losses with it and buy the concentrated stuff and I think I am going to get some flavorart tobacco flavors and mix them with the seedman stuff and kinda make a mixture unique in itself and see how that goes. BTW Dan, very nice calculator you came up with for the IPHONE I simply love it.. ^^

Rex, if you like the Dekang stuff that comes in many carts stamped MBRO HI for instance, then get the FlavourArt Desert Ship in a medium sized bottle, as it's close enough to that Dekang taste that you might end up using it a lot. I've never found anything that exactly reproduces that Dekang flavor, but this is really in the ballpark. There's no comparison to the seedman's in strengtth and flavor. The seedmans are all very perfumey and multi-flavored, hard to design with, and intended to work WITH tobacco, not instead. The Flavour Art Cuban Supreme is good for the stronger dryer tobacco side and the Vape Wizard is very useful if you don't regularly work work with Ethyl Maltol and vanillin, it's sort of the Maggi of vape flavors. 1% of each of these together is a very nice flavor with a lot of resemblance to a Dekang, some people add Perique or whatever. The PerfumersApprentice Tobacco Absolute 50% in infinitesimal amounts is very good for adding a dry leafy kind of note. PerfumersApprentice's DK Tobacco base is a lot like Desrt Ship but in a different register, more citrusy, and Desert Ship works a lot better for a lot of reasons I think. Get some tiny bottles/vials and micropipettes or whtever you can calibrate to give you resolution below 1% on a 1 ml test sample.

I've sworn off Dekang juices since developing some bad headaches (my wife too) every single time we vaped from a this one 30 ml bottle of Dekang labeled "USA Mix". It's not a "sensitivity". But in truth I'm still chasing a perfect Dekang like taste.

OK
Made the second batch. 3mL 24mg 5% flavor Mango.

Hmmm, pretty flavorful. Actually very flavorful. Will probably scale down to 3-4% on next batch. Don't taste any tobacco in there either. The throat hit is good at the 50/50 I used and there seems to be a little bite to it. I'm gonna play around with the recipe and maybe add some seedman's commercial or PA tobacco (PG) in.
