More deaths are caused each year by tobacco use than by HIV, illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, suicides and murders combined.

Young people in the United States watch an average of three movies a week, which contain an average of five smoking episodes each, adding up to about 15 exposures to smoking a week. Young people may be exposed to more smoking in movies than in real life.

The only problem with that is that it is wrong.
SMOKING may kill that many people, but not tobacco.

We should not let them get away with conflating tobacco use with burning and inhaling the smoke.

There are MANY forms of tobacco use that are thousands of times safer than smoking.
In fact, it can be argued that many such forms are virtually harmless.

Equating tobacco with smoking is a tactic that anti-smoking zealots and prohibitionists use.
Their ultimate goal is to eliminate all nicotine use other than FDA approved Big Pharma products.

I'm just saying, please don't buy into that lie.
Because they are going to try and use it against us to stop electronic cigarettes.
