This might be an odd question here, but I know as a gardener (current) and smoker (former!!!) that one shouldn't touch certain plants (tomatoes, pepper, etc) after smoking without thoroughly washing ones hands. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the TMV concern was strictly because of the tobacco or if the nicotine in my juice could also cause a problem.

Yes, that is something you should still be concerned with since liquid nicotine should not be used as a pesticide for tomato plants and other plants that are susceptible to TMV it would stand to reason that the same would go for e-liquid.

TMV can lie dormant in any product produced from the tobacco plant for 50 years (including the nicotine extract)
