As the title states I just got a kayfun mini clone by tobeco and it is leaking out the air hole bad! I have multiple kayfun 3.1s and have never had a problem. I don't know what the issue is. If I don't lay it on it's side it will continue to leak empty. I have read that it may be from a missing o ring but I can't see where one might be missing. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

Who made it? (Tobeco or Ivogo)

I found the Tobeco to be a little bit of a pita to keep from leaking.... look under the top cap, it will leak like crazy if the small o-ring is missing to seal the chimney post. And go easy on the cotton...you would think more is better...but it absorbs too much, floods the chimney and drains down the air hole.

It's a tobeco, as far as I can tell that o ring is there and intact. I just built it with less cotton so we'll see if that works, also the clear bottom section has an extremely small clearance which actually helps with leaking (ive been reading that it is causing dry burns for people). I'm going to try replacing that o ring in the morning to see if that helps

After a refill, turn it upside down...hold a vapor towel over the air hole and blow all the loose liquid out til it sounds clear (no gurgling)
The clear tank is crap don't use it on the base just for the middle if your going to use it full length. It's not made correctly and like you said...does not provide enough room for proper vacuum.

i just used a pic like this in another thread. the barrel shaped one on the right (Ivogo brand) is the correct size and shape...Tobeco was cutting corners.

IMHO sounds like a seal somewhere, and you're losing the neg. pressure needed in the tank. ( If it empties very quickly. )
Check all seals/Orings... maybe try to plug air intake and blow pressure INTO the tank just to see if can maintain the pressure.
I had my Russian do this once....
Was an Oring on the clear tank section NOT seating correctly, although it looked good !
When I applied pressure I noticed it only after I submerged it in a coffee cup while blowing pressure into the tank... slight bubbles.
( My wife thought I had lost it and was either trying to off myself in a cup, while having a vape.... or it was some new RBA I was hiding from her ! )

My bets on loss of vacuum ......

I replaced the o ring in the top cap cap which was slightly damaged. This fixed air escaping when I plugged the air hole and blew. It did not, however, fix the leaking. It will now be fine for 3, maybe 4 vapes and all of sudden the air pressure will release, bubbles will come up and it will leak. Makes me think I got another damaged o ring but I can't figure out out...starting to think that this might go into the pile of unused atomizers that I re-visit every couple of months thinking "hey! Maybe it'll work now, it might have just needed a little rest". Only after a tinker with it for another 24 hours straight though :)
