Hello! The new TOBH Atty 2.5 became available for purchase today at vapordna. I ordered one, since I was not able to get the last version. I'll post a review in this thread when I receive it. Other reviews are welcome as well!

Based on looks/descriptions, what do you think?

Thanks!

The Tobh Atty Atomizer is made with the followings:
Features brand new engraving (Jay-Bo has put lots of thought into this logo, it means a lot to him)
Made with 303 stainless steel one-piece uni-body design in which the negative posts will not turn or move
Solid copper bottom contact for better conductivity
Post holes are .05" to easily accommodate a wide selections of kanthal wire gauges
High strength PEEK top and bottom center post insulator, rated for 480 degree Fahrenheit
18-8 stainless black oxidized machine screws
Black Buna-N O-rings Rated to +280 degree Fahrenheit
303 stainless steel sleeve with SIX 1/16 inch holes placed horizontally combines with THREE 1/8th inch holes to create better distribution of air flow across the coils. There is no drilling needed.
Stainless finned top cap with a conical internal design to channel flavor while decreasing the occurrence of tubulant air or low pressure zones in the chamber. In addition, the fins act as fully functional heat sinks which disperse heat away from the cols and drip tips.
Deep laser engraving on the sleeve that will not polish off
Serialized and laser engraved #NotaClone

to be honest, I dig the old retro logo. Gave the Tobh almost a fallout-like feel too it ^^

That being said, other than the change in logo, I dont notice any difference =T are the holes any bigger?

i don't think so. I also liked the old logo better, and I have a feeling that that may be the consensus. Think the bottom of the juice well has been changed. I just hope it performs as well as my Tugboat.

I have been using this atomizer for the past few days nonstop. The draw is just wonderfully airy and quiet. Vapor production on a simple dual coil build(pictured above) is truly magnificent. I now understand the benefit of the conical cap interior, as it really does essentially eliminate instances of popping and hot splashes, and flavor is remarkably consistent. The exaggerated fins not only look sharp, but really do keep my mouthpiece cool while chain vaping, thus allowing me to use the short brass tip that I like. The conductivity is top notch as well; both coils consistently fire quickly and simultaneously (on both of my authentic 18650 mechs). This is a great atomizer for the price, and now see what all the fuss surrounding the 'TOBH Atty' is about.

I just got the v2.5 and haven't tried it yet for this reason that I hope someone can help with...I built a 0.4 dual coil build 24g on this thing and popped it on my k101 telescopic mod. Tried to pulse it to squeeze the coils tighter and finish the build and all the sudden my fire button gets extremely hot, so I assumed it was a short and checked everything with the wires, it's completely fine. Wait for the battery to cool down to try again, same thing. I put the nimbus clone I was vaping on earlier back on the k101 and everything's fine.
So, I then put the tobh on my blackhawk clone and try pulsing and everything's fine. Anyone know what's going on?

Ps sorry if this is the wrong place, just don't wanna blow my face up

hello! sorry that you are having trouble. I would contact TOBH directly . He is know for providing excellent service. you can also contact the place that you bought it from. I would never use an atty that was doing that. it might have something to do with the isolator being bad or broken.

I got my v2.5 last Friday, and I love it! The flavor is great, the post holes are huge, the drip well allows for a lot of cotton, and juice. It hits so hard with my .3 ohm 24 gage dual coil build. Now, I just need to refine my coil placement technique to get maximum airflow over my coils. The best vapor production i have ever experienced! Great atty, I highly recommend it!

this wick/coil setup is working well for me. lots of vapor and flavor:

Excellent wicking job. This is exactly how I set up my wicks too. I absolutely love this rda. Even more pleased with the fact that I went with an authentic. Couldn't be happier. One complaint I do have is how big of a PITA it is to get the sleeve/jacket off. It takes a while to get it started and I have to use all my strength to finally get it to pop off. I posted a comment about this somewhere else and someone mentioned taking the bottom o ring off. Haven't tried it yet though.

I too love my Tobh, have an authentic, and a clone that I purchased when the authentics were nowhere to be found. Anyhow, my authentic is very tight, just as you are describing, which I myself actually like. It just shows how precise the machining actually is on this device. But, if I can share something that I found, is to seriously just rub a touch of juice around the O rings, and boom problem solved. It does not take much juice, and so long as you give it a slight twist on occasion, it won't dry out on you, plus you get to keep both O rings in place. Would much rather use juice, than some other lubricant that has the possibility of contaminating my juice.

Another thing I found was a $5 frosted clear sleeve at my local B&M, and it is much easier to get on and off. But, to be honest, I use that on the clone, but my authentic gets the original SS sleeve.

These air holes are huge, and I think this thing breathes great! Kurt from Cloud Chasers Inc. actually drilled in a few more angled upwards, but I do not feel the need for that much airflow, beyond that stock holes.

I have not received my Mutation X yet, in the mail now, but from what it looks like and from what I have seen and read, that thing breathes like taking a normal breath, no resistance whatsoever, when opened up all the way. That kind of airflow has it's purposes, but not something I would like on every vape. Look forward to playing with it, though, and finding that sweet spot.

thanks! i love how simple this atty is, but you are right; sometimes getting the sleeve off is a PITA.
