So while on vacation I got to try a premade dual twisted coil dripper at a vape street vendor. It blew me away in both flavor (tasted like a smokey fireball whiskey) and clouds. I forget the exact model, but I'm thinking it was an Omega on a mechanical mod. I was instantly hooked, but the price he was asking for the clone was a little more then I wanted to pay at that point (a decision which I regret right now). So I definitely want to pick up my first dripper and I am not sure which of the above ones to get (the vendor carried three of them above but i forget which ones). I've gotten pretty good at building my kayfun, and I'm using a Clouper dna 30 mod so I definitely feel ready for the next step. Does anyone have a good suggestion on which of the four above are a good solid RDA, easy to build and which company makes the most reliable clone (Ehpro, hcigar, Tobeco, etc)? Price isn't to much a factor, I'd like to stay around 20-40 with shipping.

In my personal opinion, in regards to quality, I've found that the best quality clones I've received are from HCigar, EHPro, and Tobeco respectively. In regards to the RDA's themselves, I have all you mentioned but the Magma, and my order would be Omega, Tobh, then Helios.

I've said it several times, but out of everything I've ever tried through my experiences, the HCigar Nemesis and Omega is the hardest hitting combo I've used. It's always my go to, and go back to, lol.

I want a Tobh.

The Helios clones are pretty nice, and really easy to build on due to the t shaped 2 hole positive terminal. The downfall is that most of the clones only have airflow on one side of the cap. There are a couple options to address this. 1 ditch the control ring and drill a couple holes on the other side. 2 take a dremel to the airholes and cut a slot, the control ring will let you open or close it to suit your taste, and wide open is pretty airy, if your gonna do dual coils you'll want to build them on the same side in this configuration, but due to the T post, it's easy. Slotted air hole dual 24g 1/8" ID @0.37 is in my daily rotation.

Why Not the Infinite CLT
You get-the best of the 4 post Helios , plus the Tobh, plus the Stillaire

  • Nice and airy or easy to lessen the slot
  • Super easy to build on
  • Great flavor

I ended up stopping at my local B&M and picked up a tobh clone for about 30 bucks. First thing I noticed when I got it home was that the screw post were basically stripped, have to use a plier to unscrew them (wouldn't mind finding new screws but I'm am uncertain of the size and threading). I did a dual coil 9 wrap with 28 gauge kanthal and Im coming in at about .9 ohms. My coils aren't that great, a bit gapey but i was in a rush to get it going. Took a little tinkering with the air flow and wattage but on my Clouper DNA 30 its set for 17.5W and reading 4V. Pretty smooth vape, nice flavor on the juice, a little bit heavy in the throat and lung hit, but depending on how I take a sip I am blowing some decent sized clouds (wife gave me the stink eye). One thing that does concern me is the atty seems to get a bit hot after a few decent draws. I'm using a Sony vtc4, I am assuming I'm still well within the safe ranges for this mod since it can go down to .5 ohms. A question regarding dual coil builds on this thing, is it easier to set the coils vertically or angled then horizontal? When ever i try to position them, they end up getting a bit spread out and loosing that nice micro coil look and I suspect I'm getting uneven heat distributin. I can definitely do micros because I had to do them on my rebuilt protank 3s.

0.9 ohms is just about right for a DNA30 type device. Since your mod doesn't do down regulation on the voltage, a higher resistance allows you more leeway on adjusting the power. While it can fire all the way down to 0.5 ohms, you would be pretty much stuck vaping at 25-30 watts at that resistance. If you want to position your coils without them getting spread out, it's a lot easier to use the screwdriver or whatever you wrapped them with.

Rip Trippers on youtube - RDA is his thing - his present favorite top five RDAs: Tug Boat, Magma, 454 big block, plume veil and veritas. Veritas is a non-leaker - maybe the only one according to RIP.

My personal favorite is Origen and second is the mega juice well Magma. Magma oozes a little juice (air hole under coil) plus screw top has its + and -s and 510 screw is long (doesn't fit flush on any of my devices) - still a great RDA-IMHO.

Origen has decent wells - one for each coil in dual coil mode - love the two tone look and fits flush on all of my devices. Doesn't leak, unless one lays it flat with juice in well. Although the Origen is set up for vertical coils I prefer horizontal - seems to improve both flavor and vapor a little for me.

I still use my IGOs - they just work well and are inexpensive and easy decks to built on.
