I burned it by drinking a too hot liquid, is this a side effect from e-cig?
Been using e cig for about 6 weeks now and this happended on and off but usually goes away it's been with me for a couple of days now-what can I do about it, I vape a V2- alternate between red full flavor and med flavor

also I am vaping quite a bit, much than I smoked

I think I may have posted something similar when I first joined but cannot find the thread now

I am new to this and really want it to work so I don't go back to smoking

feedback appreciated

So some questions so everyone gets a clear picture and then someone can maybe figure out what is going on.

What strength of nicotine?
Are you getting juice in your mouth?
Are you holding the vapor in your mouth ?

I don't know why other than if you get juice directly in your mouth it can burn and isn't pleasant at all.
The menthol I use sometimes makes my tongue tingle but not in a bad way.
Welcome and hope you find an answer

EXACTLY! Same thing happened to me. Nicotine in 100% PG juice or extreme nicotine can cause that exact symptom. Try lower nic OR juices with some VG in them (PG w/ 20-30% VG worked for me on atomizers and I use 20% in cartos)

Nicotine is a skin irritant and 100% PG vapor does very little to buffer that. A bit of VG dulls the flavor and TH a bit and smooths the irritation and adds thicker vapor. Still plenty of flavor and TH but that's usually enough to get rid of irritation.

Also - if you are using plain stuffing-type cartomizers, use a drip tip on the end instead of the endcap - that will deliver the vapor in a wider less concentrated stream.

Also drink plenty of fluids.

Good info. I occasional pull a little into my mouth (very little amount) through the tank. On top of a little tingly, just gross.

Any suggestions as to how to keep it from happening (Type B Tank). Seems I regularly end up with some juice in the mouth end of the tank. On top of the above, it is a pain to get out of there.

Almost heaven..........I miss it there

Also try the cartos from SmokelesImage and Bloogplanet - they are bottom coils, easy drag, not as hot but a nice big drag. V2 is KR808D-1 (but more like the plain manufacturer style and Vapor4Life style - however V4L's cartos are hot)

Also - if a carto sputters hot juice onto your tongue that can make a little burn like a blister. But I think you are talking about the whole middle of your tongue feels like you drank too-hot cocoa right? Sore and numb?

Try SmokelessImage and Bloog cartos
Try staying off the higher nic for now
Try to not overdo vaping
Try a plastic or delrin drip tip instead of the end cap of the carto (LiteCigUSA.net has a good selection)
And if you are refilling the cartos, try juices with 10-20% VG in them

Omg..... I am so sorry it took so long to answer , I had that I am such a noob , deer in the headlights , can't remember a dang thing moment.....:blush:

Ok I don't really know much about the type b ones , I got a type b atty but wasn't paying attention and didn't get the tanks for it , so I just used it to drip bc I didn't have the money to buy anything else

But I do have the type a , and haven't really had that issue , I get condensation but that's about all as long as you don't forget to put the little rubber stopper in...

I just clean the condensation out with a paper towel from time to time so it doesn't get icky , just pop the lil plastic piece out with a toothpick, paperclip,or something like that.

I know WV will always be my home no matter where I roam.

This sounds like something I experienced in the earliest days of vaping. The problem is, vaping alone dries the mouth out significantly and I think if one doesn't stay well hydrated it leaves various areas of the mouth more susceptible to any reactions to say, the nicotine, the PG/VG, any flavourings etc. There's some potential stock in the theory that quitting analogues changes the chemistry of your mouth, or that PG might have some effect on the naturally occurring beneficial bacteria. There's just too many variables to say for certain what's causing it. A lot of us use oral glycerin to dilute our juice mixes, but it does have an obviously intended use that doesn't involve creating clouds of vapour - helping to ease sore mouths and throats, I find it works marvelously well for the little ailments I suffered during the early days of quitting analogues - make sure it's the right stuff, definitely not the topical variety.

Maybe try the process of elimination approach. Up your water intake by having a glass of it to hand whenever you vape, while reducing intake of diuretic drinks like coffee. Consider trying different kinds of kit combos for vaping, like a drip tip on an atomizer for example, or if you normally use a tank cartridge, try using cartomizers instead. You could try switching from PG based e-liquids to VG based, or vice versa. Maybe change flavours, so if you have a lot of menthol, try laying off it for a while, that kind of thing.

It could be any, all, or none of these various factors causing your symptoms. So yeah, maybe give the old process of elimination method a shot.
