Tonic Flavor Shots

I have tried flavors from other vendors and found that they all have one thing in common: alcohol. Adding even a couple of drops to any base or off-the-shelf liquid gives an overwhelming alcohol flavor. It is quite unbearable and I have ruined a good amount of liquid trying these. No amount of steeping helps. The flavorings I have tried are alcohol based and the alcohol, without question, overpowers any other flavor in the liquid. My wife can taste the alcohol as well but it seems to have a much bigger effect on me, maybe I am just sensitive to it.

So are the Tonic Flavor Shots alcohol based as well? Hoping anyone who has experience with the Tonic flavor shots can give me their opinion. I have vaped nothing but Fire & Ice since I discovered it and would like to experiment with my favorite pure menthol liquid and some Tonic flavors but I am afraid to put down any money on flavorings with the experience I have had. I have tried a few other Tonic liquids and so far they have been the highest quality liquids to grace my collection. I am hoping to hear that the flavor shots hold that same quality. *crosses fingers*

First, happy to see you are loving Fire & Ice ...

As to our flavorings ... Most concentrates you'll find are indeed alcohol based, ours included. Now, we don't overdue it, and I've never seen anyone mention an overwhelmingly strong alcohol base. But, as you may know, everyone's sense of smell/taste/tolerance's are different

My personal suggestion -- Next time you place an order, order a bottle of Fire & Ice flavor shot. Test it, and have your wife test it. Worse case ... You add a few drops at a time to your current Fire & Ice, and you aren't tossing money down the drain

The peach menthol and the nillanova seem to be PG based. I don't get any sort of alcohol from them. After I mix my flavor shots up I even leave the top off of the bottle (for 3-4 weeks).........and there does not appear to be any evaporation. (alcohol would evaporate, thus leaving me with less juice in the bottle)

I hope this helps with at least those two flavors.

I suppose I'll just have to try it out. Not sure why I am so sensitive to the alcohol in the flavorings I have tried. Perhaps it is because they were "bottom shelf" brands. I will add a flavor shot to my next order and see if the alcohol base gets to me.
