Too much power... Burnt flavour question

so if i am understanding vaping mechanics correctly... If my wick is soaked, and i increase power and get more of a burnt flavor, its not burning the wick necessarily just heating higher leading to the burnt taste. Unless the wick os dry it wouldn't be just burning up.

I am using my atlantis on the hex ohm and was playing with power level, too high lead to burnt, when i dropped down it was fine. So i shouldn't need to change the wick if its ok once i lower power, right?

Just wondering if i am understanding the basic vaping process correctly more than anything...

Yup you got it, if the flavor returns to normal you were most likely scorching the juice or/and starting to vape the wick dry faster than it could keep up.

If the taste continues, you've burnt the cotton and need to rewick.
