My method for cleaning my 510 attys:

1. Overnight soak in hydrogen peroxide. This eats away some of the dried crud on the actual coil. There is sediment in the glass when they are finished soaking.

2. Boil in a 20% vinegar solution for 5 minutes. This throughly cleans out any old juice remnants and taste.

3. Rinse under the sink in hot water holding them with tongs for a couple minutes each, shake out, and set down to dry for at least 12 hours.

Not to say this is for everyone, but my attys come out like almost new (only the coil still has dark spots...the wicking is pristine). I've lost 1 atty since I started vaping Memorial Day weekend. No idea why, but it happened in the middle of vaping, not right after cleaning. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Yeah, you have to be careful with experimental cleanings. I basically never clean my attys and I have attys that are still going strong after 4-5 months of vaping. I do not vape heavily with those attys, but, nevertheless they are going strong. My heavy used attys have been good for at least 6-8 weeks on average with very little maintenence...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

At fifty one days I have yet to have an atty conk out. I do occasionally drip them with alcohol and rinse with distilled water or leave soak in a boiled vingar solution (if I get one giving a hard draw) and rinse the same. I simply invert them on a paper towel overnight til completely dry and still vaping like new after a few priming drops and several drags to get the taste 'all the way in'.

I've been vaping since April and have finally figured out the less I mess with my attys the better and longer they work. I do blow them out occasionally but only if the flavors have mixed and taste nasty, otherwise I leave them alone. Going on week 4 with my current 901 atty and week 5 with my 510 atty. Before when I was doing all the cleaning rituals I would get about a week out of them and that would be it.

How often do you do that ritual? Do you also blow out your atomizers daily?

Heh...I guess it is a ritual. Shows you how desperate I was for a new hobby :p

Anyway, I have 4 attys in rotation and I do this once every two weeks. I have another atty that I use that I just blow out to cover the time the other 4 are in...maintenance. It still works, but it's getting pretty gunked up. It's all about trial and error, I guess. I have 6 brand new ones as well and I'm about to order 10 more. Can never have too many atomizers.

Oh yes, I blow out all attys when I switch to another. Takes all of 3 seconds.

I have a 510 that is about 4 weeks old that cam with 2 Atty. Both of which have been used a lot as I was a pack/day analoger.

Now, neither one of my Attys are producing much vapor...like barely any comes out when I exhale.

I'm using Johnson Creek Juice and have enjoyed lot's of vapor with them til a few days ago. I'm guessing both these Attys have about the same time on them and therefore same symptom.

I blow them out from time to time.

Do I need to clean them with alcohol or ????

Thanks
