+ 1 for Paypal, very secure and you have a channel to get your funds back if something goes wrong with your purchase. I use Paypal exclusively for China and classified purchases.

There is also the option of buying a pre-paid card at Walmart or wherever. You load that with your cash, use it and only it and only put the small amount of funds at a time that you want to spend.

Please don't miss out on the fantastic deals you can get on fasttech. I've got literally 4 years worth there and dozens upon dozens of orders (I've lost count) and never an issue. Paypal purchases exclusively.
Rayon wicks more effectively so you'll have to use slightly more than if using cotton. Thinner juice, hmmm... a slightly tighter wick in the coil should take care of that too.

I got the big Win 10 update a few days back and Windows Defender has sprung to life. It wouldn't let me do a download yesterday that Norton says is fine and has hundreds of thousands of satisfied users. Now it's blocking that Efun site saying it has been reported to contain threats that can steal your financial information.

Now I have to figure out what to do about Defender. I don't think it was active before the update.

Aaaahhh!! The joys of Windows 10! I really and truly feel your pain and I am very sorry that I'm unable to help.

better than Vista or 8.

:)

I just picked up a work laptop today. cheap little Asus, refurbished with a 2 year warranty for 250.00 bucks. Windows 10 isn't bad once you get used to it. I still run XP on a couple work laptops. Ubuntu or Mint on everything else.

Hey Brew. I'm guessing this is a reply to my question about popping rather than the post you actually replied to. So my popping might be caused by a loose wick. I started using rayon a couple of months ago and gave up because of dry hits. Just started again and my KFL's are going great but one Lemo is popping. I'll try stuffing more rayon in there and see if it helps. Maybe I can tell if the old wick is loose.

@sorrynomore , better yet, you could get a rechargeable credit card (I got mine from Walmart) and link that card to your PayPal account. I usually keep about $100 balance since I use it at the has stations also. It is a credit/debit card. Just before a "shopping spree" I load more on that card, use PayPal and I'm done! My wife didn't see the use of it until recently when her credit info was stolen from a gas station. Now she's using a reloadable card too.

I went from XP to 7 to 10, missed out on a couple of dodgy ones. I still have an old computer set up with XP, use it for some old games that are hard to get working on 10.

E fun has them, just be aware the TC functions with Ni wire only (as per description), otherwise you're good to go!

K, thanks. I don't know how they do that, but it seems to work.

Right you are! when you wick with rayon, the wick should be snug! I gave up on it after a few months, went to .... cotton for Scottish roll wicking! As of late I'm using cotton bacon.....until the next one comes around.

I got a bag of cotton bacon a long time ago, still have most of it. I found it hard to divide up into strips with even thickness. The fibers seemed to go in every direction.

The only times I've had cc info stolen has been at b&m's - 1. Target and 2. Home Depot. I guess the POS systems are the same as online shops use. I think there's only 3 systems in the usa. I'd have to give up using any cards, including at atm's and gas stations to be "safe". Not happy. As luck would have it, my bank has called me several times about a charge that wasn't mine before it went through. I don't know why they caught it, just glad they did. Ideally, proof of purchase security should be with the bank, not me, anyways.

Don't you know how the game works yet? I learned early on that the key to acquiring vape gear was to just talk about how lucky I was to keep winning contests.;)

YES, YES, and those CC charges are just the entry fees for these contests you were lucky enough to win.;)

I need a quick TP survey.

Who has used the UD Bellus RTA and what do you think of it?

Thanks.

Jay :headbang:
It's a great DL rta, MTL...not so much, not for me, but then again I prefer a tight mtl draw. Not much, probably as useful as a three dollar bill, but there you have it.

Would you say your Holm mods do temperature control well with kanthal?

I would, Yes. The HΩ mod's are said to do more of Temp Limiting, at least some say that is the case for Kanthal/NiCr wire. It's not like the Evolv Chips temp Control, it's different, as the age of the wire, complexity of build (Clapton, Fused Clapton's, Twisted and such) and even wicking material and wicking efficiency come into play with HΩ Tech mod's and setting it up for Kanthal/NiCr (Ni200-SS-Ti do the same as an EVOLV chip does). The HΩ tech Slice was the first TC mod I had ever tried (I had been a Power Mode user B 4 that), but in a few short days I was off to the races with mine, now TC'ing Kanthal/NiCr is all I do.

Hello my friends

So glad to be able to be with you all again. I am slowly reading through, and am so touched by all your comments and well-wishes. They mean a lot to me and I'm sure that this collective positive energy helped me heal. I'm still a few weeks from recovery but feel human again. :)

I was too sick to even think of vaping until about 4 days ago but my icares saved the day. Anything bigger and I would have been found out. Not that I could do much vaping anyway! But hospital gowns have a pocket where I could quickly drop it when someone came to do something to me which was about every four hours round the clock. I was sure glad to get back to my Provari when I got home!

In time, I'll try to respond to your quotes but if I miss something just nudge me. So what's new in the vape world? Are you all buying new shiny toys?

Hey Bea, glad to see you finally back here.

I did the same when I was in, but with a Presa TC75 and Tron-S I think (I hid it in my clothes in the closet) and vaped when they weren't looking (and just held my breath).;)

Thanks for the info. I think I read that somewhere, but as I am a power only user, TC functions don't really matter. I do have mods that are reported reliable in TC with a range of wire, so if I want to TC vape, I do have other options. But thanks again, appreciate it.

Edit to add: for the 2 I ordered, the total including shipping works out to about $15 each. Plus coming from a US company. Don't get me wrong, I purchase from Fasttech, Efun and other China companies, but I like when I can get a product (albeit made in China) from a US company for a comparable price. Faster shipping and less hoops to jump through should something go wrong.

there's probably thousands of systems (hardware) and 100s of processors (software/companies)

they're also nothing like what online retailers use.

ETA: I didn't mean to sound "snooty". I just see a lot of misinformation about credit cards, EMV, skimmers, etc, and it kind of irks me. my job includes installing/troubleshooting POS systems at c-stores.
