I'm not at all sure what you mean about taking the VAT and using it for shipping. The USA price for the device hasn't changed since they first brought this to market. It's not $103 in real or fake money. It's still showing as $79.99.

SERIES-B DNA 75W (Device Only) - (USA)

I have read tons about the VS and its finish. That's one arena where the Jac shines and does not seem to compete. The finish is a stove baked base layer with a rubber coated top layer and the battery door has an electroplated finish.

It's unique, to be sure, and unlike any other I've seen. (= awesome!)

Oh i see my mistake... i thought they said the price will be adjusted to 79.99 GBP not USD. Due to their listing the price in GBP up top outside of the description. SO I was doing a conversion. So what it looked like to the uncareful glance is that they were charging about the same as U.K. But including shipping - which I would say roughly equals VAT. . Some providers like Mark Bugs do this but i see you have to check out and then it converts..

It certainly seems like a fantastic mod for the money. THat finish is AWESOME.

Mine will show 0.00, or something real close, depending on what I use to short it. On an open circuit, it shows NON.

Evolv apparently got a version out before the deeming regulation from last August, and as they had one out, even if not in full production, it remains OK to build with until that 2 year PMTA deadline hits. I expect they did the same with a 250C board as well.

I'm going to forgo getting a coil jig. I'm not convinced it makes coil winding significantly easier than the end of a screwdriver - and I have a pretty vast collection of precision screwdrivers many of which have stripped.

There's been some concern over new products being stopped at customs, but thus far it has not been a serious issue. As such, it's still open season until it's not...
