T for Texas!
The PT 1 and 2 were the attys we used for a looooong time. As long as you rebuilt the heads and used airflow adapters they were great attys. Those who used the stock heads, stock base and those opaque silicone insulators in some of the heads you were in for a rough frustrating ride. Kanger screwed themselves so badly with the first protanks that the bad taste still lingers in many mouths and lots won't buy kanger cause of their bad experience with protanks. Evods didn't hold enough juice. You get a nice build in the evod and quickly empty the 1.2ml it held.
Those guys across the pond say that the naturevape coil in a PT is one of the greatest mtl vapes of all time.. I never was a PT guy so haven't tried but I've been tempted!

The French (bless 'em) managed to translate the 2ml capacity differently so that it covers only disposable electronic cigarettes or single use cartridges. Larger tanks are therefore still available here ! Explanation here.
I knew what eas said about the reg, but hadn't read it before. Now that I read it, I see that the 2 ml is easily circumvented...

"in DISPOSABLE electronic cigarettes or in SINGLE USE cartridges and that the cartridges or tanks do not exceed a volume of 2 ml;"

Don't know about things in the EU, but NONE of my mods are disposable OR single use. There's no mention in that article about the capacity of open systems, RTAs... ie reusable instead of disposable.

Tell you what I found of interest, I once got a disposable ego. It had a built in ce4 an rather than dispose of the atty like you usually do you'd chuck the whole vape pen, would work out Damn expensive but it wasn't a bad vape! Definitely better than cigalikes an I even preferred it to the Evod

This is my first time playing around with an acrylic tank. What exactly happens? How long does it take and what kind of damage does the acrylic show?

How fast will depend on the particular juice, i.e. the flavor and the percent. It can happen in minutes or take longer. It may cause the spiderwebbing, or look like the inside of the tank is being etched. You'll probably notice a plastic taste right away.

Personally, and definitely NOT based on anything other than personal feelings, if a juice dissolves plastic, I don't care to put it in my lungs (which, of course, are not plastic ;). )

I think what happened, certainly in the UK, (and I really only know what's happening in the UK and France) is that the UK took the word "tanks" to cover everything including disposable, single use and open systems, whereas in the French translation, the way it reads relates the 2ml only to disposable and single use systems.

Not sure if I'm making myself clear here but it does reiterate what a load of carp Article 20 of the TPD is, cobbled together by a load of jobsworths who have no clue at all. (rant over ...)

Too me everything was a tank till I discovered rdas! But your correct the UK throw around the term too much & the laws suck, I'm just glad that they came up with a way to make tanks bigger.
If my cleito packs in I can get a cleito exo, is 2ml with the new coils but if you use original cleito coils it extends it to 3.5ml cos the coil is taller :)

Banana cracks tanks? I've never heard that!
I've heard that TFA Ripe Banana flavoring is really bad. But I use TFA Banana Cream with no problem. Just some types I guess.

I think mixing juice gives you advance warning. The tip on the syringe plunger is like the canary in the coal mine. If I have a problem with syringes I don't vape the stuff. I did lose a lot of Evods back in the old days before I started mixing my own.

The worst I ever had was Pineapple. I started to suck up some pineapple into the syringe and it seized up instantly before I even got the amount I needed into the syringe.

Perfect, thank you, this was what I was looking for. I'm not giving up my Sugar Bear juice so it'll stay in glass (cinnamon bear cookies, yum!)

I don't use syringes so I don't get this advance warning system.

Me too. I still use the PT2's. They are great once you got the adjustable airflow and figured out how to rebuild the coils. With the minis I just drilled out the tiny air holes to 1/16". They got me off cigarettes.

Mtl got me off smokes when I got off them for sure! But it's not for everyone, they should have both options readily available to them. I actually like a mixture of both, I do think mtl is a good way to replicate smoking but not every vaper sticks to this...
I agree. Jumping fron analogs to a sub ohm cloud machine is a mistake.

Better to start mtl then go to cloud machines as their vaping style evolves.

Yes the Mini 3 has a lot more air.

I hope you have better luck than i did.

Pardon my French but i hated the damn thing.

That stupid wall around the build deck was a pain in the back side.

Mine had a weak O ring on DT and a hairline gap between the top and chimney. Which caused my mini V3 to leak like a sieve. Yes it was a $99 plus shipping piece of GARBAGE. So i went back to my $5.43 FT clone of my KFL+ and stayed there.

I'm with you on the "both" part. For some reason if I limit myself to one or the other it's harder for me to avoid smoking, if I maintain a mix of MtL and DL styles I seem to get more satisfaction.

Yep, the Ripe Banana will supposedly seize up your syringe before you even draw 1ml into it. Not from experience, just what I'd read. But Banana Cream is fine.

    Im put out with FT

Last few things i ordered was in stock then almost immediately after ordering it went into restocking.

Had to ordee my digital scale ad cancel twice before i got tgem

In my blog i pointed oyt that. FT has a complete Kompact Kayfun like i vape for. $6.xx. Ordered it three times and STILL haven't received it.

A vaping friend saw the Velocity V2 with a glass or acrylic dome. He wanted some i ordered. They went into restocking. Waited 6 weeks and i canceled the order last week .

The Kompact Kayfun was ready for shipping last week. Dont know if they have been shipped yet.

Those guys across the pond say that the naturevape coil in a PT is one of the greatest mtl vapes of all time.. I never was a PT guy so haven't tried but I've been tempted!

I never used the stock heads at all. I bought 3 packages of heads and still have 2 1/2 packs after all these years. I just kept on with the heads that came in the kits and bought 3rd party orings and insulators. Took the new coil and tore it apart then set my own build into them. I have no idea how many PT 1,2 and mini's I have but got several of each still sealed in their boxes. Same with Kayfuns, loved their vape and build variety(back in the day) so bought all kinds of parts and attys so I'd never run out.

Me too. I still use the PT2's. They are great once you got the adjustable airflow and figured out how to rebuild the coils. With the minis I just drilled out the tiny air holes to 1/16". They got me off cigarettes.

I just build a protank now for nostalgic fun same with a kayfun. Its been a while for a PT to see juice but I have a loaded kayfun on my desk that still vapes good, too tight draw but OK.
I drilled out the mini base but still it held not enough juice to warrant regular use. I even drilled out the airflow adapter and it worked pretty good until one day my wife's adapter separated and she smashed a PT2 glass. Put it back together, pressfit so I pounded it together and it began to separate regularly, then all the adapters I drilled began to separate so lesson learned.....don't drill out the airflow adapter holes.

Stepping back to reminisce about some good ol gear that helped change your life and gave you the experience to move forward. It was the protank and all I did learn from it that I now sit today lovin the vape. I still and always shed a tear for the loss of co-ops and the threads along with. It was the coops that convinced me to buy my first PT's, subtank mini's and some other great gear that most of it I still use.
