Youll have to check when shopping. There are so many sizes i cant keep them straight. I prefer smaller tanks anyway so i got the mini and the original size (they are less leaky ime).

My tanks range from 2 ml too 5 ml... If I'm mtling I don't mind 2 but if sub ohming I prefer 5 cos of the extra juice consumption.
I should clarify - i have never used an ego one. I mean in general the capillary forces in a smaller narrower tank should help mitigate leaking. I hate leaking more than i hate refilling.

There is a ton of debate about if this should even be a concern.. AND :)

There are acrylic options for both atomizers (see above post for Doggy)

KF acrylic options:
$1.48 Acrylic Kayfun Bell Cap - 34mm height at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$1.52 Replacement Acrylic Bell Cap for Kayfun Mini RTA Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Tons more.
@ToolmanTexas Do you know if the acrylic tanks fit the SXK? I tried the clear pc ones on the SJMY Doggy and they would not thread. I presume these tanks are not interchangeable between the two different manufacturers.

Wish i could say the same
I've been using the nautilus mini for 3 years & it's never leaked. The nautilus 2 leaked at first but I'd overfilled it, it's fine now. I'm currently vaping the 0.7 at 20 watts & it's so nice, although it's below 1.0 though I wouldn't say it's sub ohm by any means. The airflow is better than the nautilus mini but still prefer the mini.
Did you say you don't own any nautilus? I'd recommend to any MTL vaper. I like it even more than the Kayfun but that's also cos when I quit stinkies for 3 years it's the only tank I used.
I've gone back to it too cos I think I'm more likely to quit than with the cleito & baby beast I've been using!

Every vaper I'm speaking too seems to be using the doggy, it's damn popular at the moment!

I do not know for sure, that is a great question.

Or, "what he said".

As is also often the case, someone else will have a more concise (Kat would say, "Too verbose!") than me.

You're a BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA------------- nuff said. ;)

Would this use the clr heads? Evic VTC mini with a Ego one mega atomizer?

Trying to find something simple to give to a smoker to help them quit. Maybe with the 1 ohm coils?

Then what nic strength? 12 mg maybe on that coil? Or is that too much? She smokes at least a pad.

Bit late here, Riplea, but yes, the Ego One Mega (Egg Roll) does use the CLR coils, and they (those coils) are fannnnnntastic. We use the Kanthal 1 ohm. I think 12mg for your friend would be fine, but I'd encourage her to also have a bottle of 18mg on hand. She may even find herself somewhere in between those strengths.

Here's the math on quitting smoking...

Each cigarette has 1 mg nicotine, BUT is absorbed more efficiently than via vaping (vaping comes in around 75%)... so in a 1:1 comparison to 1 ml of 24 nic vaped in a day will provide almost as much nic. That's likely suitable for for someone using a very tight low powered device... which the eVic VTC Mini with eGo ONE Mega (even with 2 ohm coils) is not. Figure, instead, that they'll go through a full tank (4 ml) per day. Since you're wanting that nicotine to assuage cravings, 6 nic (6 mg/ml x 4 ml = 24 mg) would be a good place to start, and would allow the device to be used like a pacifier without too much worry about becoming nic sick.

Did that make sense?

I'd start with the 1 Ohm for the tighter draw and reduced delivery. Adjustments can akways be made upwards. Starting with a looser, sometimes cough-inducing vape can sometimes end poorly.

Excellent posts, Shawn. Simply excellent, and excellently simple. Bravo.

Nautilus and an iStick 30... hard to beat as a beginner combo.

And good for us old pros also LOL.

VERY good for us ol' "pros", yep yep yep!

I have a ticket out to determine if the replacement posts are SXK or SMJY. Will update when answered by FT.

Thank you Toolman.I have both the SJMY and SXK but my concern is there are two other variations on FT so no idea what which the parts fit. I ordered the replacement post insulators because somebody said they fit the SXK in the comments.

Darn it :( I already wasn't the biggest plastic tank fan but the doggy and shorty kayfuns are just so easy and good.

All the bell caps I ordered for my KFL+ "shorties" are acrylic, not the PC ones. I'm personally not concerned using them, since I've not had an off taste nor any hint of plastic chemicals in my eliquids, since I started using them last October. I use 3 of them nearly all day, every day, too!

Yep, I saw that confirmation also. I would hope most of it is interchangeable but confirmation on each would be great.

When you use the term bell cap, does that refer to the drip tip (similar to nautilus mini drip tip.) Cos if so I need some..

I have paired my tesla nano with the triton mini & can confirm I've had no cigarette since Monday. Not to mention have only just had to charge my batteries, I have found a setup that blows my cleito out of the water :)
Glad you found a kit that works for you.

Thank you, alot of it is from this thread.
I hadn't even heard of the triton mini til I came on here, it's just as good as the nautilus 2 or mini & the filling isn't a pain. Also the n2 seemed to flood & leak :(
