What's the benefit of silica again? I've only encountered it in those clear, see through (I think disposable) tanks and I absolutely hated those. It would be interesting if silica were useful in another application though, as I simply have no experience with it other than those tanks, and that was a while ago. :)

    Thanks,

    Anna
It won't burn like cotton. So a wick lasts for months.

I did a search, and I can't find .8 mm hollow silica. Lowest I could find was 1.5. Yes, my rebuildables are all Kayfuns.

0.8mm is string, (not hollow) so probably not the best in a KF. Still think you would be better off looking for ecowool.

Hmm... IDK, I think I will stick with a slightly more frequent rayon re-wick as I really hated the taste/wicking with silica although I'm sure it's different when used differently. Heck, I still haven't gotten a COIL to last for months, honestly.... I just got the "no atomizer" warning on my Siren V2, so I imagine the coil burned out somewhere. I'm not COMPLAINING it lasted a long time... comparative to some of my OTHER efforts. :)

    Maybe some day.

Thanks TwoBears, I am quite happy with Rayon so it's good to know that my initial thoughts about it were right.... if only for me. :)

Be careful about blaming the wick material instead of the lousy tank design.
Where silica got the "bad wrap" was with CE4s & viva novas & they would have still been bad if the wicks had been made from gold!

So did a truck back up to your house and drop off a pallet??? LOL, I'm kidding, but congrats on your vapemail. Awesome stuff, by the looks of things :)

Shipping cost more than the order. Just have to let things warm up for a few hours before I started checking and testing.

@corn flakes - I recognize most of that stuff, except for the tanks (can't see through the plastic outerwrap)! Looks like part of my stash, too! Don't you love how well they pack and protect everything? I've never had the first thing broken in transit.
