GEEZ! I had to go back 4 pages to even find this thread! I couldn't remember where I saw someone mention the following, but I think it was on here. They'd said if they could find more of the original Uwell Crown tanks...they'd sure like to buy some. So, maybe whoever it was will find this.

Lol. No doubt. I'm glad I stocked up when I did!
Might have been, Flakes! I started in 2012, with an ego fixed voltage and CE5s, started on KFs late '13. Cloud chasing drove the prices of those into fire sale territory, and I stocked up. While I've tried a few other tanks over the years, the only other ones in regular use are some Coppervape Skyline (clones).
Seems a lot of the newer "mtl" tanks are blister pack only, or maybe have an RBA head/adapter. Personally not interested in blister packs, and generally find the adapters, while functional, smaller and more of a hassle to coil and wick than the trusty KFs and newer Skylines.

Lots... Cthulhu has a new MTL RTA out. There are some new MTL RDAs like the Ammit, too.
Although its not a rebuildable, I am quite enjoying the Joyetech Batpack... 1.85 volts is all it takes... Sweet!

Yes. That's the AA kit. It's designed to run with the Joyetech BFHN 0.5Ω coils. Those coil heads are designed to ooerate at that 1.85 V. It's a tight draw... Nice

I have a friend who is struggling to quit smoking and 100% vape. She is using Protanks/protank style tanks; I rebuild the heads for her. She would like to try something else. Total tootler and I don't see her rebuilding in the near future.
Any suggestions? It's been so long since I looked at tanks, being totally happy with my Kayfuns and Doggie-styles.

@clnire how about the Joytech ego one. She can buy it as a kit or just the tanks. She can use Call me before you leave coils (disposable) or CLR coils (look like disposables but mostly you twist off the top and replace the cotton).

I had an Ammit coming and I was really excited but instead, I got some lady's package and I HOPE she has mine, I will be traveling over there today (and sheesh, not even the SAME street). I won't hold her package hostage even if she doesn't have mine.
I am grossly upset about this, most likely because I haven't bought new gear in a minute, but I'm seriously considering hemlocking the mailman, this is NOT the first time and it always seems to be (for me) when some nice person just SENDS it to me because they're nice.
I have thought "hemlock," and then I have thought, "Jail, work in one live in one." LOL I was really excited to like, try the ammit, too. Sigh, oh well, I'm sure many a worse thing has happened before, but I will say our ENTIRE neighborhood loathes our new mailman.
Other than that, I am pretty happy with my MTL gear. LOL.

I have been eyeballling that Joyetech Batpack and trying not to buy it. I did see a little blurb on a site that was selling it; the blurb said that you shouldn't use other attys with it. Just the one that came with it. Do you know if that's true? I'd like to try a tiny little RTA on the thing. So far the only 'cons' holding me back would be the color choices and not being able to use other attys. If I can slap an RTA on there and maybe go down to 0.40 or 0.30 Ohms on the wire...
Huh. I looked just now and all of the vendors that I see are saying that you can only use the Batpack with the ECO D16 tank and vice versa. Real deal or crappy marketing lie?
