Little monkeys! Sounds as though you have plenty of entertainment. How magical to have your very own possum circus.
I live basically on the bank of a creek with lots of trees. I love watching the squirrels (who occasionally tap on our window for take-out...we don't feed them), birds, skunks, and if we're lucky, herons visit the creek to fish.
I couldn't survive without animals to watch. I even love the crows - such smart bugguhs.
Some day I'll make the trek to Oz. I've always wanted to see it. I likely have relatives to look up as my Grandma was born there.Same here. I love where I live and have a creek at the bottom of our place that is fast flowing in winter.....sadly suburbia is encroaching but we have a very diverse bird life, frogs, lizards, possums, even a resident koala.
(And........spiders LOL)
Give it enough time and someone will name a tank or mod or RDA after one of the animals you mentioned. Maybe The Herron? That could work. Once that happens your post will be on topic so you will be good to go.Oops...strayed off topic.

I feel safer here, thank you. Going to Oz seems like another planet.
Heck, I can feel like that sometimes just by crossing the border into Washington! It's funny.....whenever I travelled to the U.S. for work everything was so similar and just when you got comfortable that you knew how to speak the language and know what things were, you would stumble over something simple and people looked at you as if you were an alien or speaking in tongues![]()
Whoa! - that's fanTASTIC!!!Wish we had critters to watch

Ohhhhh, just yesterday I googled Kookaburras to hear their song. Beautiful. This is from the railing on my deck. Most Australian birds are noisy but these Kookaburras are just beautiful to listen to.

I got a running commentary by text when my daughter was driving from KC to California. She said the salt flats looked like something totally unearthly.Wish we had critters to watch

Wait wait wait, that picture can't be right. I know the song I learned as a kid said "Kookaburra sits in the old Gumtree" and that one ain't in no gumtree. This is from the railing on my deck. Most Australian birds are noisy but these Kookaburras are just beautiful to listen to.
