Are those the VOCC coils? I just picked some of those up this week. First one took a day to break in and then it was great. Started out at about 10-11W... 2nd day, about 12-13W... 3rd day on, 14.5W. Going on 6 days now, still at 14.5W... HUGE improvement over the dual coils.

I don't know if they're VOCC, here's the other side of the box

I do not have a dirty mind... but innuendo IS kind of suggestive lol

I can only imagine what people were thinking when I said I couldn't suck very hard [emoji38](or else get a burnt taste...of course)

Chelsb, I can't really keep up with the exact progression of what is happening here (difficult in the longer thread), but I used to use those coils and had problems with wicking. Since it seems like it certainly can't make things worse at this point, try this: you see that little silicone, rubbery (whatever) cap? Just take it off. Try it with that cap thingy entirely off. You can also try it with it just raised up a bit as I remember, but I think I would mostly just routinely remove them.

It seems weird vaping with plastic so I will try that taking them off...thabks!

Just be careful because you will be opening up the juice channel which may in turn start giving you flooded gurgle hits. You could if your so inclined to take the silica out and replace it with cotton.

If all of the suggestions are getting overwhelming, here is a video on how to change the wicking material on the protank coils, without worrying (for now [emoji6]) on how to rebuild the coil.

Thank you! Yes, they were getting a little overwhelming. Of course I appreciate each and every suggestion, but it is not as easy to keep track of it as it is if a separate post was started just on that topic.

I can definitely see why a lot of people have a problem with the pt2 wicking right.
It is not good for chain vaping for me.
I only vape 1.5 - 2 ml per day on the silica coils at 70pg/30vg.
It fits my vaping style, and very low maintenance.
I also only use 1.5 % of menthol, or 5 % of other flavoring.
Single flavor always in 2 tanks.
Now you know why I refer to myself as The Simple Vaper.

EDIT: That upgraded dual coil head came out at least 2 years ago. The VOCC is supposed to be the latest coils for the PT3 family. I've seen it advertised as a dual coil, but I'm fairly sure the VOCC is a single (vertical) coil. You can look down the tube and see out the bottom hole.
