Well said.I do believe the inclusion of a swear word or 3 in conversation might be viewed as that little extra brush stroke on the canvas of conversation, a wake up call to the listener, an expression of emotion, and a dab of the taboo. It's all contextual really. I see no correlation between the use of those types of words and others in terms of intelligence, unless of course, the user of the vulgarity (I really should put that in quotes) does not have the ability to replace it with a more family friendly expression.
Having said that, it's not ok here, and because that is our agreed upon rule, we can all find ways of self-expression that are not inclusive of language that could and would alter or harm ECF's standing. I can say it's not even remotely worth it to me, anyway.![]()
My verbal speech can be quite colorful at times but regardless, I joined ECF knowing the rules, therefore I have to abide by them if I want to stay.
