It is the middle section of the three peice tank part so you can see you
juice level. You can replace the center steel section with the small clear section. If you are using tank cracker juices (some fruits & those containing citrus) you'll want to use the metal piece in the center.
Oh! When you fill it don't fill it more than just under halfway up that chimney base! When you turn it upside down to fill there is a LOT of
juice that you can't see that is sitting in the top close to the drip tip. It's a bit of an optical illusion. Just fill it less than halfway up the chimney base, put the fill hole screw back in j turn it rightside up. It will look like it's full, but there will be an airspace left in the top (again, where you can't see it.). You need that airspace in thete to help with vacuum &
juice flow. Fill it too much & you'll have juice flow issues.
