So what do these sleeves do? Make it possible to use a coil in a tank for which this coil wasnt originally made?

Spending time in the FT threads/community you can see all the cool combinations of stuff that can be put together. That is where I picked up the KF combos I have, but there are folks that do some pretty spectacular stuff with all the bits and bobs avail on FT.
Would you mind posting links for some of them. Thanks.
Just for the sake of posting and then getting flamed I have been using a magnet on top flatop battery in my provari for a couple years now and as long as the magnet is centered I've had no problems. I bought lots of flat top batts from coops in here without thinking ahead enough that my provari button tops will die one day.
I've heard of others doing the magnet thingy. Link please?

I have 320 grit sandpaper. I like to keep my battery contacts and kick contacts shiny(when I used kicks). With a pencil that has a eraser, its a bit big to fit in the 510 so you sand or cut some of the side of the eraser away. I cut little squares of 320 sandpaper, enough to fit inside the 510 connection then you can spin the pencil eraser and it may take a few pieces but you can shine the contact of your hitter. I now have a pair of hobby flat tipped pliers that you can also use with a piece of sandpaper folded to sand the contact. Keeping the contact points clean and shiny especially in a mech is critical to its performance.

You won't get flamed by me. I think we all do things that others may not approve of or whatever but it works for us. I have button tops for my Provaris only because I have REO's. :)

The magnet on a flat top is a very unsafe practice.
If the magnet gets dislodged from its position from vibration a bump or a drop by about 1mm it becomes the source of a dead short.
A shorted battery enclosed in a metal tube = nothing good, high possibility of ruining the device.
Provape strongly cautioned against this practice.

It wasn't long ago that the mention of using magnets on flat tops would get the post deleted or sent to the Not Advisable sub forum.

I wonder if those slave/insert coils thread in or wedge in - you know where I'm going with this...
thinkin maybe a CLR coil would fit in there also... ??

Nah... GS Air coils are a smaller diameter, different thread...

Please do not use the magnet trick. If the magnet slips, bad things can happen...

Thank you both. I wont try it since it's unsafe. No reason to. Button tops are readily available and there is no reason to think they will disappear from the market.

I have a tendency during tax season to order fun things from FT. Unfortunately for me, I generally put them aside until I have time to go through the packages. Last night I was rambling through some stuff looking for something and stumbled across one of those purchases. I also found a 0.5 SS coil I had rebuilt around the same time. I think it's cute!

I hate to admit this but I have 3 others besides this one plus a Pico Mega that I won. I haven't used the other 3 yet other than making sure that they worked when I got them. I love this little mod. Cheap(LOL), small and works in power and TC. What more could I ask for?
I LOVE tge little mod.

Full sized 18650 battery
Up to 3000 mah
Portable pocket friendly.
Fires 1-75 watts.
Power mode
TC mode with Nickel, Titanium, or Stainless
Inexpensive
LOVE tge battery goes in upside down so if it vents tge gasses directed away from face.

Fantastic mod

Ha... I keep seeing Cerotank this and Cerotank that and thought I was missing out on something... I mean, I had one and hated it, or so I thought...

What I had was the Hygeia from Ceravape (see how that happened).

Then someone wrote Anyvape. Ha, again... I have the Cerotanks predecessor, the Anyvape Davide as well as the follow-up, the Anyvape Peakomizer V1. Both will accommodate Kanger PT or Aspire BVC coils, but the spring-loaded chimney in the Peakomizer is a bit better IMO... oh, and top fill...

Not an endorsement... never shopped here, but it's US based... there seem to be quite a few UK shops with 'em...

They only ship to Canada. From my limited research, these are difficult to find. I'm hesitant ordering one from a China eBay seller. Any other sources? I'm really interested in getting one of these!

Does anyone happen to know if the aero tank mega will take these old style (and way easier to rebuild) coils? Asking for a friend.

Yes they do. You need to add another cap on the chimney so it doesn't leak.
