to answer chels on the rebuilding.

I tinkered with atomizers and genny tanks and then the sophia's for my carto tanks but never felt the need to do so. It was only when aspire changed their little BVC coil heads to larger holes and cotton wicks that I was forced to do a lot of running around to find old version coils. The newer coils did not work for my high PG eliqid and very small puff vaping style

When the stocks cleared of them I discovered how to rebuild them (prewound coils from fasttech) and have not bought a coil head since. Pretty much everything i vape now uses the same coil heads so I make a batch at a time and then just pop in a new one when I need to. I will say that using rayon as my wick, these coil heads last for ages.

So I suppose i was forced into making the coil heads my way.

Isn't rayon the best?! I just love it!

T for Texas!
I'm honestly not too keen on inhaling unnecessarily large quantities of vapor. Not to mention the additional expense of plowing through juice. I'll stick to my little wimpy MTL gear.

2 of the main pros why I choose mtl vaping. Sucking down a huge amount of juice in a single pull just wasn't for me.

Without rayon (I found cotton tastes like wet washing smells :D ) I would have had to change something about my vaping and so it was a vape saver for me.

ps thanks GT who pushed me into it. I have never looked back

Safe to say that there is no one way that vaping has to be done, and I'm sure glad that we have an abundance of choices.

I found what floats my boat years ago, and haven't made any effort to keep up with new trends.
Hell my stuff is so old that I have to check for barnacles! ;)

add:
wonders how many times I've taken this same picture.

Are those carto's?
Carto's were my only real epic failure in vaping. I bought a pile of smokDCT's and cartos thinking they were the wave of the future back when I was experimenting with gear...was I wrong. I for the life of me couldn't get then to either stop leaking, flooding or dryhitting. Took them apart, revamped the coils and still failure. I gave them all away but still kept a few carts and tanks if I want to reminisce that kind of frustration again. It took me a few years after that to find my next failure and those were Merlins that seeped like crazy, I couldn't fix them either...I didn't research them properly cause if I had of known they were pressfit I never would have bought them. I learned about pressfit with some VapeOnly BCC Mega attys I bought on a whim again and the pressfit heads did nothing but leak. One I opened and the other 2 are still shrink wrapped in their boxes.

edit...Rayon rocks...IMO its the only wicking material that should be used.

Thats how I feel too. I only go through 2 mLs juice/day and my coils last 3-4 weeks.

I don't recall who told me about it but I know it was here. I just love never getting burned hits!
Definitely don't want wet washing smell while vaping!

I started vaping in 2011 so cartos were all we had and I think like everything I adaapted my DIY eliquid and style to how they worked. I missed the whole clearo thing and just used my carto tanks. I still run some of my pretty tanks every so often.

Same here. I take a few minutes once or Twice a year and wrap 5-6 coiks and put them in a container.

When i need a coil for my Kayfun i take one i wrapped earlier install Dry burn snd wick and i'm off to the races. When i have 1-2 coils left i wrap 5-6 more.

Speaking of my short Kayfun

I found this this morning.

I have searches Kayfun more times than i can count and NEVER SAW THIS BEFORE.

$6.37 Free Shipping Kayfun Lite Pawns Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (Kayfun Lite Pawns(2.5ml), SS + PMMA, Silver) at m.FastTech.com.

Now i have never tried these so i have no idea if they are any good or not.

I did order 5 of them and should be able to recommend this or a warning to avoid in 10 days or so

Update on that FT order that was never charged. It looked like they cancelled the order (as I had told them to do), but I just got a shipment notification. Looks like I'll be getting a bunch of stuff gratis as the support ticket has been closed.

No one knows what I need to do to the Wanko to make it work? Who da thunk it with all the experts here. ;)
I only just got the Wanko last night, and missed or overlooked the post earlier. I am betting you shorted a bit...

Step 1. Check the coil on an ohm reader
Step 2. Pulse/strum/spread/pinch the coil to eliminate hot spots
Step 3. Wick, juice, vape...

If step 2 was skipped, there's a fair chance there was a serious hot spot...

Also, ensure that the coil was not pressed in too far. It's gotta be off the bottom... the higher the better...

I do not have a coppervape, but I'll put it on one of my squonkers tonight...

One more thing... I feel like the coils available are better suited for regulated devices... single battery mechs, not so much. I'm currently running a 3 mm 8 wrap .3ish ohm SS316L build in mine with the clips removed...

So you're keeping the stuff that wasn't paid for instead of just returning it to them? And there's no malice intended in this post...I'm just asking..

I told them to cancel it on 3 separate occasions. It's not my problem anymore [emoji4]
