That's good news; I was wondering if they let her out, or incarcerated her (anyone who thinks I'm kidding has never actually been admitted to a hospital!). She doing ok?

Andria
Yes, thanks Andria... NASTY bladder infection. They'd talked about irrigating, but she's such a hard stick, that would have been traumatic.

Some antibiotics and a couple other "lovlies".... Just a pisser. She felt like she was fighting a cold the past few days, but the tide turned this morning.... Yeah, "incarceration" sux. Glad we didn't have to go there today....

Yeah I thought for the longest that I had the flu... but I finally realized, the flu doesn't last 5 weeks without any sign of getting better, so it must be time for (gasp!) a doctor. Thank goodness they do everything in-house, including their billing, so they're quite patient with my small payments. *sigh* I took enough cash with me for the office visit part, but I knew there would be more, with the different tests the doc would insist on. And even though none of those tests showed any health problems, it's nice to actually *know* that, which I wouldn't have, without the tests, so I guess it's worth it. Next week at the follow-up I'll get the results of the labwork.

I hope you get to feeling better @AndriaD - that's gotta suck. :( I guess I've been lucky - especially since I've quit smoking. A cold only lasts for a couple of days and doesn't launch into bronchitis. I don't have a regular doc, so I dread the thought of anything serious.... o_O

Get better, hon!

I hear ya, hubby and I do have insurance, but he's been having to go for treatments for macular degeneration and will have to have laser surgery done too. The deductibles and co-pays are killing us.

Enaud, I do recoil the PT's at 1.5 to 2.0 ohms with 30 gauge Kanthal and rewick with Sally's Beauty Supply cellu cotton, so I don't have to depend on factory coils. It's really "groovy" though (Ha!) having these other alternatives.....Rock on! :)
I re-build them with res-no res wires from stormys vapor cellar. Never stopped using the PT2's since switching over from the t3 clearo's, still like them with the aero bases...

MIL gets shots for that as well, and the office where she gets it done (monthly, and it's working to a large degree) turned her on to a supplemental and, I think, subsidized program that drops her copay to $35. Might enquire about something like that?

Thx. I have a suspicion that the infection was from the higher dose of steroids in the Advair; problems with sinuses *are* listed in possible side effects, and I really can't think of anything else that could have caused or led to it; I think it just compromised my immune system just enough that a simple sinus blockage led to bacterial infection.

And it makes me reflect that I'm usually *very* lucky, notwithstanding emergencies like the appendix; I used to get this sinus infection crap 2-3 times a year when I was a kid, but I can't even remember the last time I required antibiotics for a sinus infection! Maybe it was just my body deciding it was time to have some diagnostic work done, in the least traumatic way it could find. :D

Now I'm really confused and struggling to find what's right for me. First I thought the cool fire 4 and nautilus mini was what I should go for. But then people begin recommending other tanks, I take a look at them. They also look good, but have other pros and cons than the other. It's not easy :(

The CoolFire4 is a great mod. I've got some pretty high-end stuff, but I've also got two CFIV's stuck right in the middle. And I use them daily. Lightweight, small enough for a pocket, and they perform marvelously well.

I use the full size Nauti's, just for the capacity, but the minis are identical. Personally, I love that combo. But vaping IS a personal thing, so just because I love it doesn't mean someone else will.

But would I recommend those two things? Absolutely. Probably first recommendation actually.

Yes, I'm sure about the kool fire IV, heard many great things about it and checked out a lot of reviews.

But on the tank side, I'm not so sure. I like the looks of the nautilus, easily change glass as well. It's great in flavor (which is a huge deal for me as I've never been able to fully enjoy flavors. I just get a hint of flavor no matter the strength. Except for menthol which I actually feel. But the protank 2 f.ex is easy to rebuild, can use other kanger coils, cheaper coils as well. And then you have subtank mini, but that's pushing the budget a little bit. I'm just not sure.

I heard from another guy right now who said that a nautilus mini would look dumb on the koolfire because it doesn't go in flush?
