Bummer.

I have the Nitecore D2 and its a good charger, but in hindsight I think I should have gotten the D4 just to have 4 bays.

I have some Efest 18500's. A bit under $1 each. Work fine in my Zmax. They just do not seem to be 1100 mah, more like 800 maybe.

When I got my 18500s or 18490s (whatever they are, I fergit), I was planning to use them mainly in my mechs with Kicks, so I got the AWs at sweet-vapes -- 18amp batteries. They're 1200mAh, and seem to last that way too. They do last a bit longer than the sole efest 18500 I have, which I think says 1100mah.

Vapor Flask is coming out with a bunch of new gear, they have a small single 26650 version that looks great but all the high 4000+ mAh 26650's are really only 10A. Buddy from VF recommends a 40A 26650... Where do you get one of those? It's just like the wrong labeling on the 18650's, 26650 batteries labeled as 65A for example are really only 10A or 20A in real life.

So instead of a high mAh 26650 you would be better off with a pair of 18650's in parallel. It would have been better if the new VF's took a LiPo pack.

I want the 26650 VF, looks like great ergonomics and I have a bunch of MNKE 26650's that Mooch rated at 25A.

I like that form factor better than the dual 18650.

It is on my xmas list for now.

For external batteries, always choose IMR for vaping, NEVER ICR -- the IMR's are "safer chemistry" batteries.

That is, of course, unless the mod maker recommends them. I have two devices made by two of our finest modders, and when they said to use the ICRs, welp, I did, without hesitation.

The ego charging issues may be a bit overstated. I have been using Ijoy Evod clone 650 mah batteries with very elcheapo chargers for 11 months and no worries so far. No batteries bad nor bad chargers either.
Need to order a couple of 2$ chargers as I am down to one ego charger, gave 2 away along with some batteries and Evod tanks to a friend yesterday.

Agree with you. Make sure you keep connections clean. Wipe your battery connections before you charge and give the ego charger connections a good clean regularly. I use isopropyl alcohol but what ever is common where you are.

Juice builds up and charging becomes more difficult.

Upshot keep everythin clean. Eliquid is sticky

I was given some 26650's for my Zeus and you could do a gym workout with them. Very heavy batteries. Not necessary for this little tootle puffer. Ended up using the battery sleeve and 18650's

So this is interesting. The new Wismec Reuleaux with the DNA200 board is not even out yet and Wismec has decided to produce one for $100 bucks cheaper using their Joyetech 200w board. Could be something to watch at that price point.
