I just thought of a challenge/contest for all members of ECF. No prizes or anything like that but it should be interesting...

You'll see it in the general forum tonight :D

Later

You will have to link it cause I only look at a few threads. I get lost when I venture out and about.

I like women's bedside toys. I like tube mods better than box mods. Feels more comfortable to hold, imho.

Really, though, there are fewer and fewer tube mods that aren't mechs and aren't pieces of crap. Most (except for the sealed battery types) are also too heavy and won't vape at resistances below 1 ohm. Which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't becoming more and more difficult to find coil heads over 2 ohms.

The Coolfire 1 that crapped out after 3 days had a lower resistance limit of 2 ohms. The Zmax will go down to 1.5 ohms, and absolutely will not work with the Kanger 1.2 ohm ("high resistance") Subtank coils.

The new Provaris will go down to 0.5 ohms, low enough to adapt to the ever changing world of vaping. They're also flexible as to what batteries you can use in them. At least on the 2.5 and 2.5 mini.

It's worth it to me at this point to have something reliable that I won't have to worry about, and doesn't have the paperweight-like qualities of my one box mod (eVic VT).

The Sigelei Zmax will fire down to 1.3Ω.

And for what it's worth... I made the remarkable discovery some months back that iTaste vv3s will fire down to .8Ω -- of course, with that 800mAh battery, at that resistance it wouldn't last very long -- could use it strictly as a pass-thru I guess.

My experience on my iTaste VV3's is that they last about the same amount of time as my 650 MA Ijoy evods do. A bit longer.
And 5volts out on the iTaste = 4 volts on the Zamx. A bit of voltage drop out of that little battery when running inot a 1.6 ohm load.
4 volts out of the 650 ma Ijoy = about 3.4 volts out of the Zmax.
I am comparing vape quality and burn threshold on the same T3. Had to rewick a few times using the Zmax working out the sweetspot ;)
4 volts on my modded T3's. Any higher and a bit of burnt taste begins.

"Volts" means absolutely nothing to me; I use watts. And no, I'm not going to consult Herr Ohm for that formula of his; I hate math and will avoid it whenever and wherever possible. That law/formula would be a GREAT DEAL more useful if the letters used corresponded to ENGLISH words -- I don't speak french, and have no desire to.

My point on the vv3s was that while I think they're advertised to fire down to about 1.3Ω, they will actually fire much lower -- but, since less resistance means more amps drawn, the battery won't last long if you use that low resistance -- but if you were using it as a pass-thru, then it could be workable. Like in a car for example, or while sitting at the computer -- does anyone besides me actually sit in front of a computer anymore, or does everyone else just wander around typing with their thumbs on a tiny little phone?

Hah!! I'm supraohming (3ohm) and subamping (2.9V) at the same time...

You may bow to me now

2.31V/2.34ohm=0.987A

Measured with deadly accuracy.

You may kiss my ring now. :D

It may, Thatchah, that it may, but somehow I have a sneaking suspicion you aren't a Tootler. ;)

Sure, it's a coil design contest. It's the goal that will make it a particular challenge for today's vapers.

I have my coil designed and at the ready, Mr. Boden. I'm a real coil building mamma!
