I'm on the hunt for a good top airflow rda to send off to chowderhead for conversion. I asked him about the Aeolus and it sounded like a no-go without extensive modification and cost. My buddy has a lethal and seems to like that. Our little Reo's cant handle too much crazy airflow because of the voltage drop. Too much airflow and not enough watts supplied to the coil makes a disappointing vape. Aeolus looked promising, but there has to be other options out there.

Anyone running a top airflow BF atty? clones? pictures?

Unless I just don't understand the question.....(which is possible)...all of the RBAs on the reosmods.com site are top air intake. Some have two holes in the cap for dual coils, and some have just one. And our REOs work great with big air. Do you have the sub-ohm kit installed on your REO? That upgrade really helps with any voltage drop problem.

The RM4, RM5, RM6, and the RM3 dual coil RBAs are often used by cloud-chasing lung hitters.

What REO do you have?

Both mine have upgraded contacts. All reomizers on robs site have airflow that comes in from the side of the cap and hits the coil horizontally. Just like my Odin. I'm referring to rta's where the air literally comes from the very top of the cap and hits the top of the coil, before exciting the mouth piece. The aeolus is a great example, Google it. I'll have to check out the one the other member suggested

Aha! Got it. I told you I might not understand the question.....and I didn't. I learned something new. :)

Omerta, Manta V2, and Rogue are the three Chowder has or will have soon...

If anyone is interested in the omerta, I would pass. I have one and its silly to build on. Horizontal coils are a pain unless they are centered (read in the middle of the build deck). Vertical coils require a lot of bending and extra wire. The top air slots are tiny and are lip burners.

...you may have just ruined the Omerta for me, which is something my wallet sincerely thanks you for.

The build does look like a bit of a PITA

I REALLY REALLY tried to like it. The snorkel airholes, while novel, are bad news if you blow out before you inhale. I do that without realizing it and I had a lip blister for a while as a result. If you don't use them - whats the point right? I can get any old horizontal AFC atomizer and it will work just the same. I wasn't impressed with my test flavor either. Your mileage may vary but I found that the weird deck, difficulty with common builds, and the extra hot exiting air made it a non-starter.

I have the Omerta, Lethal, and Rogue. See photo below. On the Omerta your coils screw in different ways at each end, so that can be tricky if you haven't built other RDAs like this, e.g. the Veritas. I prefer the Rogue because of the wide bore chuff cap and airy draw. But all three have great flavor and won't leak.

I agree that the Omerta feels weird when vapor comes back up into your face. I use the side air hole mode. You can run the Lethal in single coil mode. The Omerta and Rogue are dual only.

I have a cheap Omerta clone. I agree with the weird air-in-you-face thing, which is part of the reason I took myself off of CH's list. I actually think it's really fun to build on, though-- I've done horizontal, twisted, verticals. And I HATED building on the Vertias. So much so that I sold it after a week. Seems like something that could be adjusted with the right build, but I haven't put much time into it since I'm just not a dripper. Might be worth asking some of the people who really like it. I haven't totally written it off. If CH ever gets them, and if I manage to find a build that I like, I'll get one. Definitely does not leak, and has nice restricted airflow.

I just ordered an Omerta. Found it on fasttech and was really surprised I had never heard of it before. Looks really promising for a REO. Very small, top or side air flow.

Edit: just read everyone's poor review of the Omerta...few bucks down the drain...

I'm 99% going to remove myself from the Omerta list, pretty sure you've all just talked me out of it. Truth be told I was on the fence anyway - I've never enjoyed a build that wasn't a simple plug n chug, and I don't like restricted draws at all. Yeah, why am I on that list again?

Thanks for helping my wallet, I've spent too much money on vape stuff lately. I really do need to calm it down :)

I'd to see how the the round aromamizer works as a bottom fed:
AROMAMIZER RDA-R,AROMAMIZER RDA-R,,steamcrave

I believe that someone has sent one to Chowderhead so he can try to mod it to bottom feed. I was intrigued by this atty until I started reading reviews that said the flavor is pretty meh on it. But there are also two video reviews I watched that raved about the flavor so I dunno.

I've read that building just using the screws is easier than using the wire hole on the inner side...
