I use claptons on a mech all the time. Works fabulously.

[EDIT] Single 18650 user too, FWIW.
Yes I have used claptons too but takes a little longer to heat up and diminishes battery faster. I generally like the Claptons better on my regulated dual battery mods.

I mean, you gotta build specifically for it, but I get what I'm after with quick draws, on a battery that lasts me all day. Every aspect of my vaping style could be described as "medium", however.

I'm not going to say what that setup looks exactly like *to me*,:lol::lol:, but it is strange and awesome at the same time, and it looks like a great vape, and I hope you enjoy it a lot, TK.

I still think you are going to build coils at some point, but who am I to predict the future? I'm glad you are enjoying it and as safely as possible. Stay safe! :)

Lots of people nudging you towards rebuilding for the right practical reasons, but has anyone mentioned FUN yet? Not everyone who rebuilds enjoys it, but I just love it, personally. After the initial learning curve (which is quick), it becomes a little ritual, part and parcel to the overall mech experience, for me.

I haven't started building yet, but i'm wicking my coils in my big baby beast rba and even though i hate doing it,it teaches me patience and idk why but i find it fun on a saturday morning with my coffee and some music :p Kinda like a morning ritual tbh.

I built coils bitterly and resentfully at first, and it was deeming that pushed me to do it so fast. :) But, it IS fun once you start mastering the process, and one of the most fun things about it is being able to customize your vape, the materials you use, (I'm just now experimenting with rayon and I like it, as I *loathe* wicking and it's my Achilles heel) but every RTA I've set up, I've enjoyed it (okay, not the first one) and after learning the basic process, it's just a matter of Finding Success. Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to take an RTA out of the house.... not soon, maybe not ever.... because I don't want to run into leakage, wicking issues, etc., unless I am in my Safe Place where I can Curse Loudly, LOL, but maybe at some point I will get good enough at it that I will do so. There's always going to be a place for drop in coils in my life, I think.

So yeah, it is fun, overall, though it seemed daunting to start. But, everyone on ECF will band together and help you, if you do decide to do it and run into issues (LOL, I named my first coil the "Collaborative ECF coil" since I got so much interactive cliffnotes from board members), but that really isn't necessary now. I stick to simple builds and I have fun with them. And, I believe it's true that the vape(s) from RTAs and RBAs are "different" in this intangible way that I enjoy.... I can customize my vape via my coil, wick, etc, and that's a lot of fun.... There are lots of fun aspects to building, and it's good to remember the fun of it is part of it....

Though honestly, I didn't think so at first. :)

A tank leaking is a when, not an if, in my experience. Won't touch the damn things.

That's the word right there - ritual. Wicking is the most finicky part of rebuilding, IMO, so if you can learn to enjoy that part, wrapping coils should be a pleasure.

On that note, time to burn, quench and rewick over a nice hot coffee!

Not literally over it.

I use a mech because I get better taste and flavor.
Are you running a series mech? Only difference I can see is if you running a series at 8.4 volts, while some regulated might cap out lower. Always thought flavor came from the topper and not the mod, but I don't know Jack LOL.

Anna, you may want to try a Combo RDTA like the Alpine or Limitless or my new fave the IJoy Combo. its between a tank and a dripper. the airflow is below your coils but your coils are above your tank. Fun to build on and minimal leaks if any. The GeekVape Avocado is another one with an easy Velocity style build deck.
    Oh and the OBS Krius

That's a nice idea, I did have the Arrow, but it was so DL I vaped it once (early on without much knowledge), and it sat around morosely for a while, BUUUUTTT not leaking at all, until I PIF. :) That sucker had juice in it for several months....

Honestly, my biggest hump with dripping is I hate those wide bore drip tips, but I'm guessing I could deal with it better if I could set myself up for MTL... With the arrow I used the premade coils that came with, I think the resistance was ridiculous. Hmm... Will have to think about it. :) I can get most of my tanks not to drip if they stay upright, but otherwise, not so much....

I probably WILL consider it, but I'mma gonna wait on it, got plenty going on as it is and I'd want to do some research :)

Started using the pure WTA juice.
    Love it.
    Got a 30 ml bottle for $15.
    Then got a 50 % discount and bought 120 ml for $25 !
