Just wondering has anyone noticed on their new Provari's that the top cap is now half the thickness of the past Provari's . I thought something looked off when i got my new one in today so i compared it to my other provaris and sure enough the entire top cap/connector is half the thickness. The drip well wall is thinner and 510 connector wall is thinner . Im not sure if this is good or bad. With half the thickness the drip well has more capacity however with the thin walls it wouldnt be as solid as the old thick caps. It does look a little odd and less beefy.

Has anyone noticed this on theirs ?

I snapped some pics to show the difference while taking pics of my new vari

Since it would be the same size block of stainless steel its machined from i would think it would cost very slightly more to make in machining so i dont think it has to do with cost. Maybe it was just to give more drip well room however iv never been able to halfway fill the drip well on the old one so im not sure. Im wondering if all the new ones are like this though.

Thanks for the answer.Thats true it is easier to clean the juice well . My only real gripe about it is the beefyness of the top cap is the part i loved most. The 510 connector walls being thinner is also a bit more worrysome if i happened to drop it and it land on the carto . Its stainless steel so i would think it could still handle a drop but thicker is always stronger and less worrysome.Last little thing is drip shields are more loose now then before. Its not a huge deal i guess .Im just used to seeing the beefyness. Im glad to know its not just mine though.

+1. While i enjoy using my provaris as my daily drivers, to me, the new ones remind me of a mack truck on wired wheels.

Is that good or bad lol

Either new or old cap its still a Provari which is the toughest PV i know. More just nitpicking. The old cap when looking at it just kinda gave the illusion of the whole mod be super thick solid steel. Its weird how such a small difference was so noticable to me. I noticed it before i had it fully out of the bubble wrap.

I don't own a V1 but as a new V2 user the new design seems just fine and plenty sturdy despite the reduction in thickness. I am hard pressed to identify a weak point. I suspect ill break a lot of adapters and tanks/cartos off in it but very unlikely to hurt the provari except dumb stuff like cross threading..
