Top coil tank tasting burnt sometimes

So yesterday I got a JustFog 1453 tank in the mail and it seems like it's a nice quality, sturdy tank, but it has wicks on the top instead of the bottom and sometimes I get a burnt taste.
How do I fix this? I don't know how to get liquid on the wicks without turning it upside down or overfilling it, and obviously overfilling it won't do any good for me.
(I've previously used CE4 and Evod tanks)

when you're vaping just give it a tilt or a twirl to make sure the wicks get wet.

look on the bright side; unlike a bottom coil tank like the evod, your topcoil won't flood when upright.

But this is normal for these tanks then?

The normal problem with topcoil tanks is we naturally keep them upright and if we chainvape, it tends to dry out the coil faster than the liquid can soak its way upward against gravity to get to the coil; to compensate for that you just need to give it a tilt or twirl occasionally if you are chainvaping;

And with bottom coil clearo's the coil is at the bottom of the tank and the bottom of the tank has a hole in it!!! to let the liquid get to the coil! So the normal problem there is liquid might end up leaking/flooding out through that hole and flood the coil or worse, flood down onto your battery or out the airholes.

Another issue can be the pg/vg ratio you are using. Vg is thicker than pg and juices higher in vg don't wick as well, especially in top coil devices.

I'm not sure what the PG/VG is on the current liquid I'm using.
It's Vapor Craze Red Label, and it seems they pick the PG/VG but it's somewhere between thick and thin.
I suppose thinner liquids might work best for these?

Yes topcoil work better with higher PG liquid;

VG is thicker, and bottom coil tanks are better for them.

And a dripper doesn't care; either will work fine.

You are correct, thinner liquids work better. I checked the Vapor Craze site and they don't list the pg/vg for any of their juices. My guess is it's 50/50, which might be too thick for a top coil. However, if you pay attention and keep flipping it on a regular basis it should perform better.
