I think we've all done that at some point...
The first time I laughed at myself, the second time I cussed myself out. I hope there isn't a third time..

I actually have no problems at all using bottom fill toppers. I do remove mine from my battery holder to refill and while it is off I clean the threads of both topper and battery. So far I've not encountered the problem of stripped or worn out threads. In my case I can't see changing something that just plain works and works well for me. :) Ain't it great that we don't have to settle for one size fits all.

If you've played with a Lemo2, you learn that when you're about to go play with the coil/wick (as it's an rta), that the glass is held in place by the deck section, and it comes off very easily (the glass once you take the deck off).

If there's any liquid left, it's an instant mess.

Taking a bottom fill off upside down to refill would never work for me. I'd make a mess of it every time, toss all the crap against the wall, and go back to smoking. I know my limitations.:D

Wow, 30 ml ! I'm lucky if i get 10 ml with my cleanest liquid before i notice a taste change, color change even sooner. With my NETs, i re-wick after every tank ( 3-4 ml ).

NETs are notorious for for gunking. I've never vaped them, but I've also found that even though I started out pretty much like everyone else with a tobacco type flavor, I don't feel I'd want to go back to something too much like tobacco again. The closest to tobacco I get now is my Tribeca clone, and while it may classified as a "tobacco type" juice, it's really not. I've sort of settled into vanillas and butterscotch type juices, and as long as I keep a light hand on the flavorings, it never feels like too much, and lets me be lazy about rewicking.;)

Some of my top fill tanks come off when I fill because if I get one little drop down the side it has to get cleaned. I do not want it getting into the 510 and the heat from the base of the tank will make run down the side and I can't stand a sticky MOD. The Baby Beast and the RT22 have small slots so if you flinch you can miss.

That's why I use all unicorn bottles. The fine tip easily fits just about every fill port and no chances for drips.

I pretty much stopped buying too much stuff ages ago, so most of my devices are bottom fill. I'm semi retired and work from home, so it doesn't matter much to me. I have 20+ tanks (Kayfuns, Trons, Ego Ones, CS Air, Wismec Amour, PT 2s, Nautilus 2s, etc) in rotation. Almost all of them are filled with basic unflavored liquid. My coils last for months. I sit down once or twice a week and fill things so I'm not filling very often. I use 6-7 mils per day of high PG at low wattage so I could go for 8-10 days before I have to fill.

Ever since I got my 1st Lemo2 I've been a fan of top/side fill RTA's. Some implement it better than others.

Some may become a flood/leak fest and others just work. The lone bottom fill I have in rotation sits on my night stand and gets refilled every few weeks.

My current coral has 3 KFv5's, 3 Lemo2's and 2 TFV4's in rotation. I tend to "marry" a tank to a mod so they very rarely get removed/replaced. Vaping unflavored VG+H2O+Nic my wick and coils last months.

I go up to 3 weeks between wickings, on ProTank4's running dual Claptons and cotton. These are tanks that get used daily, 3 or 4 refills per day. I vape mostly CAP / TFA Vanilla Custard or VBIC 12% through them at 50 watts. It's rare that they get dirty to the point of being taste-able. After 3 weeks they tend to start seeping from the air inlet, I assume from the cotton losing its absorbency. Rewicking always fixes it. Not the best tanks in the world, but I like them because refilling is so easy (no detachable parts) I can do it one handed.

Running two STM bottom fill, building my own coils at around .92 and vaping around 25 watts. I don't take my tanks off to fill up, just flip, unscrew the tank part and fill up and good to go. Vape shop people said I was starting to be in the dark ages with my set up, but ehh...don't need high wattage mods and tanks and vape up to 100 watts. Plus I like making my own simple coils where I find I like it the most.

So, you flip it over, unscrew the top (bottom now), put the mod on the table or wherever, fill the once again to be top, pick up your mod facing down and screw the top back up/on? And this all happens without a mess of spilled juice on the counter? I am truly impressed because I could never pull that off without a puddle somewhere.

Top fill is nice :) Only thing is the JFC has to seal tightly. If not you get chamber flooding & leaking out the air holes. I totally agree on the 510 thread damage, I have an SX mini & the 510 threads are on their last legs :( It was an expensive mod back in the day & I hardly got my moneys worth, now I'm waiting for the last bit of threading to give out :( 510 Thread damage happens & not only on Cheaper mods :(

Yep...that's how I do it. The vape shop people said to do it that way so that you don't strip the threading on the mod or tank. At first I thought the same as you, going to make a mess and so on, but after a few times....piece of cake.
