It's not so much that I'm stuck on the 18650 battery size, I just need a good pretty high amp limit and know I can easily get that with these Sony VTC5s (and VCT4s). There are some higher amp 18500s out there (about 13.5 amp I think I've seen) that I could stay underneath typically, but every now and then I do build some coils down to 0.3 - 0.4 ohm range and wouldn't feel comfortable pushing the stated amp limits. If I did wind up with a Lab and extension I would have the flexibility to try it out in both form factors as appropriate. I have now gotten accustomed to topping everything with drippers except when travelling long distances, so that helps keep down the overall height too.

To be honest, I love the look of the Poldiacs but it does have a kind of "regal" look to it that might make me think to NOT take it out of the house. I could use it at home, and the Lab while at work and taxing the wife around town shopping and what-not. :D

The Efest purple 18500 are 15A. They are well worth the investment.

You'd have to have a coil below .3 and a fully charged battery (4.2v) with a mod that has no voltage drop, and you'd still be below the amperage cap on the 18500 purples.

Those are the ones I thought I looked at a while back to be 13.5A, but I'm probably thinking of the 18350s which I see are actually 10.5A.

BTW, did you say you had a Lab or a Roller that you might be looking to put in classies soon?

NVM, I see it was a Roller. Will try to keep an eye out for it.

I'll try and put it up tonight. I just need to take pictures of it.

Just wanted to chime in here, I'm digging top fire and side fire mods myself. I prefer 18650 batteries, but I like a telescoping option for on the go. I don't like how the telescoping mods look, though, unless they have a sleeve for each battery. For example the Bod byLeo is amazing in mini mode and it is very easy to fire. The switch on top doesn't have as much weight on it, therefore doesn't need as stiff a spring to fire the mod. That's why I dislike the bottom fire mods. To be fair - I only have two bottom fire mods.

I have a legit Poldiac on the way, I bought it used but it's been rebuilt and is in fine condition (so they say) and I'm looking forward to that. I looked at Silver Bullets and would consider that since I've had good success with OmeGa.

Atimizoo wasn't even on my radar until I saw this thread. I like it's clean look - and I think that's what I like about the look of Silver Bullet.

I hope this thread keeps getting updated because I'm NOT done adding mods to my collection but I think I'm pretty much done with bottom fire mods (never say never though).

Was looking through the classifieds late last night and someone was selling a Silver Bullet mechanical if you're interested. Was an all black, same as I already have as daily device. :D

Enabler! I'm off to take a look. I saw two for sale on craigslist for only $15 each. One pink, one blue (or maybe purple - was hard to tell from the photo). Both looked like they had been gnawed up by the sidewalk a bit tho!
