Believing everything you read on ECF instead of finding out what works best for YOU.

Not believing what you read on ECF.

Blaming your inability to completely quit analogs (there's that word again) and/or enjoy vaping based on the belief it was all due to faulty PV's, bad e-juice, poor filler, poor service, slow shipping, lack of information, relationship issues, weak moral character, inability to commit, hesitation to try something new, fear of pg/vg, and/or self criticizing because it didn't all happen effortlessly as soon as you tried your first PV.

vape On!!!!!!

You took the words right out of my mouth! :)

Luckily I found this forum before I made my first order so there are no supplier mistakes for me so far. *knocks on wood*
My mistake has cost me 3 atties and that is to drip on a hot atty. Puff, puff, ohh no vapor. Drip drip ...... 8-o great there goes another one. Hopefully the three that I have lost this way will be the only ones.

Getting your first starter kit, vaping your brains out and then leaving the Personal Charging Case including spare battery, spare atomiser and pre-filled carts on the table in a restaurant.

AND then returning to aforementioned restaurant hours later only to find out that the staff had mistaken it for a "CRACK-PIPE" and disposed of it!

Then spending several harrowing minutes contemplating a dumpster-dive in a back alley, wading through rancid piles of lasagne, tortellini and rotten vegetables! (that looked identical to the meal I digested only hours earlier!!!)

Ouch! That really hurts.

Believing that I could have enough time to drip at the traffic lights when the lights had been red for a while & get the lid back on the eliquid, the tip on the ecig & start the car moving before I noticed the lights were green & the cars behind me had started honking their horns.

My horn wasn't that loud and I did wait several seconds. :D

Get one of the newest t-tips from T-Manufacturing and that will save you one step anyway.

1) Buying anything with an automatic battery to start with
2) Trying to smoke it like a cigarette
3) Not understanding how an atomizer works and the issues related to wicking
4) Not knowing what it means to flood an atomizer, or what to do about it
5) Cleaning an atomizer and thinking you killed it when it just needs to dry longer
6) Not getting a nicotine strength that is high enough to start with
7) Thinking it has to look like a cigarette
8) Thinking it has to taste like a cigarette
9) Not finding this forum in time to save yourself and your electronic cigarette

10) Thinking this is all a gimic and never trying it in the first place!

DC, all of yours were good, but these were the best to me. I would also add:

Not getting a bigger battery 5/6 volt PV sooner!!!!

Not doing it long ago was mentioned several times, agree on that one.
I would also say not researching before buying your first e-cig.
I had seen the njoy brand in the truck stops for several months and thought it was just a gimmick that would taste terrible.

A few weeks ago the truck stops started offering the njoy starter kits for 29.99, down from 59.99. I finally decided that was cheap enough to try it out.
What I didn't do was research before I bought that starter kit. It actually worked out okay because it got me started and I found this place.

I now have a 510, of course I made the mistake of not ordering extra batteries and an extra charger.

Care to explain?
Sometimes a 'dead' atty will spring back to life on a higher voltage battery. Sometimes.

Another newbie error: thinking upping your nic will ALWAYS solve your 'I'm missing something' or 'I feel depressed and sad now Im not smoking' issues when all you needed was something like Snus or snuff, and could've avoided the nic headaches.

And:
Dismissing dripping as too fiddly when its the dogs bollocks. :D

Yeah:) When I was strictly using 510 with stock batts, some of my attys would appear dead and un-vapeable, as they have a tendancy to do. I kept a couple but threw a few out in frustration. When I got my 5v passtrough I was shocked when the old "dead" attys I'd saved started performing beautifully!

I learned a step up in voltage is sometimes all it takes to get that home stretch out of old attys. It's great to have a higher voltage around for maintenance/dry-burn purposes too!

High voltage vaping can revive an atomizer because it is almost like simulating a dry burn.
Having said that, I use the Highping dry burn method at 3.7v using my Chuck with incredible results.

In fact, I am under the impression that my current 510 atomizer will last forever using this cleaning technique as needed, and each time I do it the atomizer is like new again.

At 3.7v with a big battery, you can dry burn without pulsing, which is intended to avoid stressing the atomizer at higher voltages. But at 3.7v with a big battery, you can just sit on the button forever, without any fear of blowing your atomizer.
