Hi guys,

Im from the UK and ordered on Friday my 1st "real" vapor kit - Crystal Mini Vgo2 Manual 400mah Starter Kit

I have also ordered with it -

Menthol - high - 18mg (black)
10ml Pure Menthol UK MADE - high - 18mg x 2
Cherry - high - 18mg (black)

To get it over £50 for free shipping.

I usually / still smoke menthol and have tried ecigs (elights) before without real success, but after alot of research and reading I came to the conclusion I need a VGO? hence my order above from Jacvapour.

I would really appriciate any newby advise as I think my order should come tomorrow and im really hoping that I can become cig free....finally.

Ive smoked since I was about 16 and im now 37 and really need to stop with 2 young kids for health and financial reasons.

Any advise of what to do would be great...have I got a decent start kit? Where do I go from here?

I only smoke approx 5 ish a day so im hoping the order above will last me a while...but I havent got a clue to be honest!!?? Any comments on my order would be useful.

Thanks and hope to become another success story and ex-smoker which looking at the forum is a real possibility.

I do enjoy smoking and hope that vaping will be a replacement!?

Thanks for any advise or tips in advance. :2cool:

Stay with it.

Some are able to switch completely from day one. Myself, not so. I'm on a migratory journey. I smoke less and less each day so I know one day I won't be smoking at all. The reduction so far has been from 2+ packs a day to a less than a pack a day. My biggest issue is finding a good juice. I'm still in the sampling everything mode and I think I've found a couple juices and vendors that will work for me.

Biggest thing is don't give up. Don't stress yourself about quitting.

1. drink lots of water and keep some on hand every time you vape. You have no idea how dehydrated you probably are (most people are). vaping will show you. These days I carry a gallon of water around to remind myself to drink up.
2. don't get discouraged. some stuff is going to overwhelm you, you might not get things right the first time, and you wont know what you are doing. That's ok. Come on and ask questions, these folks will help you out.
3. there are other things besides nicotine you are addicted to. You will go through some withdrawal symtoms. They stop after about 2 weeks.
4. Don't be afraid to have an analog cigarette. Don't think of it as failing. Every cigarette you DON'T smoke is a victory. I'll guarantee you, within a month you won't be able to stomach the taste. And if you end up upgrading your hardware, you'll only laugh at the puny throat hit and cloud that a primitive burning weed makes

I spent a lot of money on Halo Triton's and other similar devices for my wife. Didn't do the trick for her so she just thought vaping wasn't her thing. I got her an iTaste VTR for Christmas and she's singing a different tune. For the first time since I tried to get her to vape she's actually cut back on cigarettes. That's after a year of getting her cig-a-likes and small ego/triton style batteries to no avail. She doesn't really like the size and weight of the VTR but she does appreciate it's elegant design (fancy steampunk?) and can't deny the effectiveness. Best of luck on wherever your journey leads!

Ok got my order today and its ALOT better than the elite I had, 1st day of no "analogs" today and I can say im not missing them yet!

Couple of noob questions..

1/ I got some pre-filled cartons as well as the liquid....do these plug straight into the battery and use without the mouthpiece (i cant see how you could use the mouthpiece!?). Is that right/safe!? I could see how that would be handy to use on a night out as it makes if very short and would be easy to get in pocket etc.

2/ How do you vape...is it best to have it for 5 mins and take approx 10-12 drags like you would have an analog? Or just have the odd draw now and again over a longer period? Or is it just preference?

3/ How long do you suck on it for....5 secs is about what ive read?

4/ Is there any dangers or safety things I should know about...it says the liquid is toxic...what if when im filling the tank and I do get some on my hand....how dangerous is this!!??

5/ How often is it best to clean the refill tank...it says after about 10 refills to clean with water..is that about right. Also after how many cleans is it best to bin the tank and buy a new one?

Sorry if some of these answers have been answered a million times already but I cant find quick answers and would appriciate the help...im a noob remember!

Thanks again for all the advise so far.

Those likely are called cartomizers or cartridges, and I'm assuming they came pre-filled with flavored e-liquid. They should screw onto your battery. They can be used as is (leave the white plastic doughnut in the top) without a mouthpiece, or you can remove the doughnut and use a "drip tip" as a mouthpiece.

single coil cartomizers.jpg cartomizers

Cherry Vape drip tips.jpg drip tips

These cartomizers can be re-filled with bottled e-liquid by dripping it into the white filler material, being careful not to get any into the center air hole (use a toothpic to block it off). The filler should be saturated with juice, looking like a wet slushy drink.

HOW TO FILL A CARTOMIZER

2/ How do you vape...is it best to have it for 5 mins and take approx 10-12 drags like you would have an analog? Or just have the odd draw now and again over a longer period? Or is it just preference?

Most people vape as much or as long as they feel like it. There is no set practice, whatever works for you.

3/ How long do you suck on it for....5 secs is about what ive read?

I tell people to imagine sucking on a straw in a thick milkshake. Long, gentle draws 4 - 6 seconds long. Use your cheeks to suck the vapor into your mouth, hold in the mouth for a second, and then inhale into the lungs. Nicotine in vapor is absorbed mostly in the mouth and nose, not in the lungs. Exhale some of the vapor through your nose to better appreciate your flavors.

4/ Is there any dangers or safety things I should know about...it says the liquid is toxic...what if when im filling the tank and I do get some on my hand....how dangerous is this!!??
Nicotine is considered a poison and can be absorbed through the skin. In the concentration that we normally vape, getting some on your skin is not a danger if you wash it off within a couple of minutes. Nothing to panic about.

5/ How often is it best to clean the refill tank...it says after about 10 refills to clean with water..is that about right. Also after how many cleans is it best to bin the tank and buy a new one?
This depends upon the juice attachment you use. Some clearomizers are considered disposable, no parts to replace; just use and then discard them when no longer giving a nice vape. Cartomizers can be refilled with juice a few times but are generally discarded after 2 - 3 weeks. Never let a cartomizer run dry, it will burn the filler and you'll never get that burnt taste out of them.

IS IT A CARTO, A TANK, OR WHAT? GUIDE TO JUICE ATTACHMENTS

IDEAL STARTER SETUP FOR A NEW VAPER

Some clearomizers can be re-used for a very long time if they have replaceable coil heads available. These coil heads can last 2 - 3 weeks, then a replacement head installed. (ie iclear 16, aspire ce4 and vivi nova, kanger evod, etc) Replacement heads are around $3 each and easy to install.

Congrats! The first day is the hardest, for me at least. You're doing great!!!

As for your questions:

1. I am not familiar enough with this brand to know exactly what you're talking about when you say the "mouthpiece". Could you post a pic/be more specific? Are you talking about the little opaque rubber cover that goes down over where you put your mouth?

2. Definitely just preference. Some people chain vape with lower nic levels, some vape less often but with higher nic levels. Do what feels right to you, and your body will tell you what you need. If you're having bad cravings, you may need to vape more often (or with a higher level of nic). If you're feeling sick, you may need to lay off of it for a bit (or switch to a lower nic level).

3. There's no set time recommendation. It depends on the draw you're getting on your device. But it's generally recommended to do a slow, steady draw.

4. I wouldn't worry too much about getting the juice on your skin. It's only 18mg. That means only 1.8% is nicotine. If you spill a bottle on you, go wash it off fairly quickly. If you get a few drops on your fingers, wash your hands when you're done. This warning is more for the high nicotine juices or the undiluted nicotine people use in their DIY flavors.

As for other safety hazards, you should be fine. Don't leave your juice/battery in the sun or hot car. Read up on safety if you start doing your own rebuilds.

5. This also varies depending on the tank and the juice. If you're using a lighter colored juice, it will not gunk up coils as quickly as darker juices. Also, juice high in PG is thinner and easier on coils than juice that is high in VG. I generally clean my tank/coils every few days. Certain juices I have to clean every day or else I start to get a burned taste. You'll know!

Good luck to you!!!!

I can only offer advice on what I experienced:

I smoked for 7 years - started at 18 and I'm 25 now. I moved to e-cigs in September first using disposables then Green Smoke. It worked - I got off of analog cigs straight away - never wanted one as the e-cig was a viable nicotine replacement. The only thing I missed was going to the smoke area at work. I did cheat a few times after running out of juice and had a few over the Xmas period but nothing to be too disappointed about!

I've just received my first 'real' vape device - iTaste v3. I'm optimistic this time that I won't go back. It's much more satisfying than the e-lite type thing that I started on and I've stocked up on plenty of clearomizers and juice.

1- Get rid of your ashtrays and have a spring clean (if you smoke in-house) or dump the ashtrays from the garden. Hide cigs/tobacco that you have in a drawer you never go to (don't throw them away yet or it'll mean having to buy more if you really need to cheat).

2- Start buying packs of mints and eat them when you are out and about. After a while you'll be amazed at having good breath. I was enjoying the fact that I was going to a shop and buying something other than tobacco! It will also make normal cigarettes taste horrible if you have nice minty breath and make you feel a little sick so it's a good way to put you off if you cheat.

3- After you've been doing it for a while, if it's working out well and you feel you don't need analog cigs anymore, go to the drawer you put your tobacco in and feel good that you haven't touched it, or even throw it in the bin.

Just remember it's way easier than actually quitting because you'll still be getting your nicotine :).

Quick Overview

The Vgo2 is a cigar sized large battery e-cigarette. It's a good looking e-cigarette that can last a vaper all day on one charge. Less charging and refilling means less hassle. This kit is good for new users or users looking to move on from the our smaller V3 e-cigarettes. This mini Vgo is a very flexible e-cigarette, and combines power and performance in a tiny good looking package.

Kit Contents:

2 x Crystal tanks (these hold 1.6ml and can be refilled around 10 times each)

2 x Vgo2 400mah batteries with manual switch

1 x Instruction manual

1 x USB charger for charging the Vgo2 batteries from a USB port

1 x Lanyard (to wear the Vgo around your neck)

The kit comes in a clear 'Crystal Box'

Looks like a disposable CE4 type tank.

For me and from what I've noticed of other new vapers, patience is also important in the transition.

The instant gratification of a cigarette will always be a temptation so plan accordingly with juices AND batteries.

Do what will satisfy your wants but don't be afraid to experiment, I never thought "cake" flavor juice would be my favorite ;)

Gosh, where do I start.

Welcome, firstly.

You'll be fine with that kit. 5-a-day....easy. Job done. :)

I started with E-Lites and then moved to JacVapour (V3 PCC). Then, I discovered that all the JacVapour kit is KR808 fitting so that was the end of that. Moved on to 510/eGo batteries and never looked back.

I could be very negative about them, but that would be unfair. So I won't.

Good luck. :)

2/ preference
3/ 5 seconds sounds good.
4/ don't drink the liquid; nicotine is supposed to be somewhat toxic to the skin so avoid getting it on skin; just wash it off.
5/ depends on the eliquid you use. more complex flavors might cause it to need more cleaning.

Congrats! I think there is no way to top Bad's answer. Keep reading and doing your math. Mark you calendar when you want. Like my wife says to me, another day without a cigarette is priceless so money isn't the issue. Saving money isn't my priority, quitting analogs is. Stay determined and don't get disappointed if you get a bad juice or your equipment isn't working right. Make sure you have a back up to your backups so you can't make an excuse to suck on a coffin nail. Happy vaping!

My best advice:

Mark the calendar, and from this point on, NEVER spend more money on vaping than you would have on cigarettes.

That's basically what I did. Worked great for me, other then blowing my budget a little bit getting setup. Now I am less then a quarter what I was spending, and vape just as often as I smoked.
