Topbox mini rba

My topbox mini came with an rba and an extra coil for the rba. What wattage do I use it on? Do i need to check the ohms or have they been checked by kangertech?

You probably don't need to do anything other than prime it/fill it and vape. It might be a little off, but your mod will tell you. If it's reading 0.5ohms or something, you're good to start around 15w.
I use a factory-made 0.85 coils in the subtank RBA and stop around 25w. The design is good for much higher watts if your wick it well.
Chinese coils are perfect most of the time. The length of the 'legs' when you fit a new one often accounts for a very small rise in resistance. (0.9 for me sometimes).

Rule of thumb is to start on a lower wattage (say around 15 - 20 watts) and gradually increase the wattage until the vape seems a little too warm or tastes burnt, then back down the wattage for your personal "sweet spot". My personal sweet spot is 30 watts.

You should ALWAYS know what your coil's resistance (ohm) actually is. Always check (measure) the ohm, never assume it is what the manufacturer says it "should" be.

Agree, if your mod don't display ohms get a ohm meter if you plan the rebuild it. 0.6 I start at around 18w, sweet spot around 24.5w so 0.5 20w-28w for me. All roughly around the same range but your preferred vape may be lower or higher.

Whatever gives you a satisfying vape. Start low, and work your way upwards until you find your "sweet spot." It's been a while but I think I remember I liked them around 20-24w with the included coil.

Known? Yes. Checked? Probably not. The included coils run about .5-.6 ohm when installed correctly, although they probably don't test the preinstalled coil for shorts. On second thought, I guess they check all the regular heads don't they, so maybe checking all the RBA heads too is trivial. Regardless, you should always check any coil yourself before firing it on a mech mod. If you're using a regulated device, it probably has an ohms-checker built in and the value displayed right there on-screen where you make your adjustments, so really you couldn't not check it if you tried.

Do you mean it came with a rebuildable deck (an RBA) or it came with a couple of replaceable coil heads from the factory?

If you really are talking about the RBA, if it came with a couple of little pre-wound wire coils, then yes - they will have been made to a certain resistance by Kanger and will just need mounting and a wick putting through them, to be mounted, primed with juice, tested and then vaped on.

Yes, he's talking about the RBA head. He said "RBA" like three times, I'm pretty sure that's what he's talking about. Kanger products with the RBA head come with one coil pre-installed in the head, a second, loose coil for you to install later, and some cotton to wick them with.

Well - no-one mentioned wicking them, and just said to prime/fill and vape, so I could imagine the OP getting a bit confused and ending up with a lapful of juice...
