Is the etching of the devil or what? I personally prefer not to have an image of the "Prince of Darkness" on my PV's
Ozzy???

Seriously though I don't think the devil would like vaporizers in the same way that near beer would be looked down on if your goal was to spread evil. I'm pretty sure your soul is in no danger from a logo.

Let's say you wanted to sell personal vaporizers in Tel Aviv... would you engrave an icon of Adolf Hitler on them?

The depiction of "Satan" is distasteful to Christians in a similar way-- it stands for essential evil. You may not believe that the Prince of Darkness exists but they certainly do.

I did not think that MaxUT was comparing the logo with Hitler. He merely made a point very clearly.

And no matter what you say it is - and personally, I find it cute, and that's it - there will be some who are offended by it. I also happen to have an opinion on at least many of those offended people, too, but fact is, offended they will be. And there may be occasions where even I would not want to offend.

Those are very rare, though :D

Invoking Hitler to support your position in a discussion means that you have run out of valid arguments and YOU LOSE!

Actually, no. That law is only valid if the comparison is inappropriate. Here it was just a fairly drastic, but perfectly valid example.

Think of them what you want, but there are people equally offenden by a devil. Not all that many, of course, and there are probably a lot more people who think it's cool, or could not care less. But they do exist, and I am rather surprised that there are people who are not aware of that fact.

.
Godwin's Law:
"As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."

"However, Godwin's Law itself can be abused, as a distraction, diversion or even censorship, that fallaciously miscasts an opponent's argument as hyperbole, especially if the comparisons made by the argument are actually appropriate."

My comparison was appropriate. Thanks for playing.

You're not qualified to speak for all Christians. You're not even qualified to speak for some of them.

Many are mature and rational enough to realize that it is just a silly little logo. They don't see evil incarnate hiding behind every tree trying to eat their kittens.
