Tornado-T: cartridge tips?

One of my tanks was leaking, but it stopped when I pulled off the punched-out circle of plastic that was hanging from the inside of the lid when I took it off. (the "hanging chad".)

Absolutely get rid of the "hanging CHAD"!!! Displacement and leaking will occur if the "chad" is bobbing around. It can rub along the wick and break the vacuum seal that the liquid creates with the wick housing.

thanks for all the info, jade. the draw on my atomizer was starting to get a little tight and i was noticing the clear-er of my fluids getting stained after use. from this i was going to try cleaning the atty out. after reading what you said, i blew it out, gave it a rinse, blew it out, rinsed again, blew it out again, then dried it up. didnt use it for about 2 hours. when i did, it was almost like brand new again. didnt have any of the problems i had with rinsing out my 510 atomizers.

will definitely be rinsing more often now. seems like the atomizers will last super long with the proper care. i have been using the same one since i got the e-cig (about a week after they released) and, as i said, its like new again.

been a while since anyone posted here, but i have an update.

got a 5 pack of the new clear carts a few weeks back. opened 3/5 so far and all three are performing perfectly! they fit in the atty real tight, which is a plus for me. the hanging chad is easier to get off as well. being able to see the whole reservoir is pretty cool too. think i will be getting 10 more with my next order.

as a side note... got a bottle of the patriot coconut chocolate... holy crap, best flavor ever. always going to have some of that on hand from here on. TW still needs to make a root beer flavor, though ;).

Glad it was all sorted out! :)
Over on the TW supplier forum, I ran an experiment with one of my clear plastic tanks and I stopped counting fills after 100. Its still going strong weeks later. Obviously, thats how they work if looked after and it was a nice neat hole to start with... but they are mass produced items and, lets face it, there are so many reasons why people might get theirs mangled.
For those who want to reclaim a tank cart that maybe was less than perfect or replace a lost end cap, there are some new silicon caps you can use. Dirt cheap and available here:
UK - 10 Tornado Tank Cartridge Caps
USA - 10 Tornado Tank Cartridge Caps
Happy vaping! :)
