Hi,

I have recently purchased the tornado tank which I have found to be a very satisfying vape. The only gripe I've got about it is that it seems to guzzle e-liquid.

I vape probably fairly averagely - perhaps 1-200 puffs a day but I find I'm getting through at least one cartridge's worth of e-liquid a day. Is this normal?

I can't see any leaks coming out of it. Where's all the e-liquid going?

I was previously using the tornado compact previously and just dripping the liquid in which seemed to use far less liquid. One 20ml bottle would last about a month.

At this rate I'll be going through one bottle of 20ml a week!!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for any responses.

If dripping would make 20ml last a month for you then you must have a real conservative method of vaping. My ego demolishes 10ml in 3-4 days. You can't really blame the device here, liquid is only being vaporized when you hit the button. The only thing I would know that could count as a form of advice would be to not hold the button so long, keep the button that ignites the ecig locked when not in use, and possibly get you a cheap little 510 kit to help you minimize the usage of your Tornado when not in need of clouds of vapor.

You don't say if you're VV or not, if you are you could try dialing down the volts. I know when I'm 4v or greater I tend to burn through more eLiquid. If you're not VV, I don't know what else to suggest except to go VV. Once I did I never looked back. Personally, I go thru 10mL DIY eLiquid a day. My DIY: 0Nic0FA, Zero Nicotine Zero Flavor Added, 75%PG/25%VG. Costs me .60 cents a day. JMHO

I used to use the Ego-T system and I also found it was less than conservative with juice. As far as I know there isn't a fix for that. Where it goes, I really don't know; it seems to use liquid at a faster rate than most things I use on my ecig to heat the liquid with.

Cartomisers tend to be more efficient with juice than the ego-T atomisers while still holding more juice at one time like the tanks and it'll be cheap to get a pack of 510 threaded ones (I'd recommend 2.5ohm to 2.0ohm ones for your batteries) to use with the batteries you have already.

I know it sucks when you're told you should be using something else but it's just the nature of the Ego-T and I've not seen anyone post a fix for that.

Here's a long list of UK vendors if you want to shop around, thanks to Chrissie: http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suppliers&action=display&thread=2

Also shop around, for $60 bucks or so of investment into your ecig hobby, you can buy the materials you need to make your own liquid so then it wouldnt be an issue how much liquid you go through. For the $60 you could at least find 250ml of nicotine and the vg/pg you would need. I generally buy 500ml of 48mg nicotine, and a big bottle of glycerine. I do not typically mix over half and half meaning I got over 1000ml of ejuice of any flavor I choose to make it.

This definitely a subjective matter, if you are a heavy vaper, and were a heavy smoker, then your doing everything just right. 20ml is pretty good, looks like you need to invest in some bulk, or maybe DIY, juice.

I have an eGo-T (same system) and I rip through juice also. With any tank system, expect to use a good amount of juice, as it keeps the atomizer wet at all times.

I also find myself vaping a lot more than I used to smoke, i.e. in places where I couldn't normally smoke, so naturally, I use more juice that way. But It's hard for me to put this device down, and I love every second of it! :)

Happy Vaping!
