Welcome to the south in the spring. :shock:

Make sure you get you a weather radio and keep fresh batteries in it. Flahslight too. Keep an eye on the sky and an ear to the radio/tv.

Remember lightning is the most frequent cause of weather related deaths so even though tornadoes are destructive/deadly, you have a better chance of being hit by lightning. So stay inside and away from windows.

hopefully they're hunkered down.. there was just a tornado confirmed touchdown near within 10 miles or so of thier area

We don't usually get them here except when spawned by hurricanes, but we've had several in the past week. Earlier today there was a warning about 15 miles from here.

I was in Alexandria on Tuesday, and there was some serious weather headed through the region that day.

Tornado warnings, hail, etc.

The only real bad weather I experienced while at LSU was the one hurricane in '98 that came through (but died offshore, for the most part).

Everyone in Baton Rouge just gets to deal with the constant threat of flooding. lol
