Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself to this wonderful world of vaping!!

I am still waiting for my Janty Neo Classic which is being held at Hamilton customs (crossing my fingers that they'll let it through)

I didn't get any nic in the order so I hope they'll let it pass.

Anyway, I hope all you veterans can help me out later (I'm sure to need it lol).

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but good luck. Two Canadians I know so far have had to self-clear at Customs. DHL will not clear the package. I can't go to Hamilton to try to self-clear but that's what you have to do.

The shipper has obviously caught on that Janty is an e-cig supplier and as a resullt will no longer clear the packages at Customs. I think it best not to order any Janty products again.

I don't know if you can send someone else. It's no longer a DHL issue, it's now in the hands of customs. You could try talking to someone at DHL to find out.

Act humble, naive and apologetic.

Someone has had success getting the Janty hardware through self-clearing, and you have no juice so that's not an issue. The only problem is that it's in Hamilton

As for Janty, I put in a ticket on March 8th but haven't heard from them yet. They have a 30-day warranty that covers shipping, but if that's the only issue I'd rather just cover the shipping then be out $150+.

Anyway, let us know how it goes!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome... unfortunately, I have some bad news... my Janty Neo Classic was confiscated by Canada Customs

I just received a letter today stating that it contained a 16mg e-liquid in the shipment. I was VERY specific in my order to NOT include any nic products.

I am going to call customs on monday to see if they could remove the nic product and just send me the device, but somehow I don't think that's going to work.

I need some advice guys, I wouldn't be upset if customs confiscated the product as I had ordered it, but the very reason it was confiscated was the 16mg e-liquid that I was very clear to note in my order not to include. I did open a ticket with jantyworld.com to see if they can compensate me somehow since my directions weren't followed. I hope they can do something for me.

What do you guys think? What are my chances that customs with just send me the device after removing the nic? Also, what are my chances that jantyworld.com will do something to compensate me?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

I beleive for some reason that DHL has been altering the original PI that companies are sending from the original, I had a shipment sent to me as well as others that had no nicotine in them but DHL took it upon them selves to write "No Nicotine" on the package so of course when they saw that, customs would not except it & I had to go to Hamilton to clear the package,& then customs has to call in Health Canada to inspect it for nicotine & then 1 week later it is released to you. But if there is any nicotine it is seized & just forget about it. So as long as you don't mind going to Hamilton & if there is no nicotine, it will be released. I have had this problem 3X with DHL but when I changed to UPS it has not happened. Hope this helps somewhat & Good Luck

The issue has been cleared up. I got a letter from the inspector with his name and number. Janty had put in a nicotine e juice even when specifically asked not to. After speaking with the inspector and confirming with him that the nic was the only reason why he denied entry I called Canada boarder services and they told me to get the inspector to send them a fax to clear the package if the nicotine is removed. I then spoke to the inspector again and he sent off the fax and a day later DHL delivered the package to Toronto.

Looks like it was a PITA to get it. When you think that you can buy cigarettes with nicotine in the nearest convenience store... this world is crazy.

I just ordered a device from the States and I hope I won't get through all this custom trouble.

First off, welcome to the wonderful world of vaping!! It may take some work, but definitely worth it.

As long as there isn't any nic juice you should be okay. If there is, follow my lead and contact the inspector and ask nicely.

I'm still learning myself but gotta tell you, I'm already enjoying what I've experienced. Read up on my recent adventure while traveling and you'll understand.

Also, read the "INFO PAGES" they are really helpful for newbs.

What did hardware did you get?
