How often do cartomizers have to be refilled? I don't see the hubby stopping umpteen times a day and getting out a syringe and filling....in fact, I don't see him doing that *at all*.[/QUOTe

If you do some research here, you'll find ways to never use a syringe. I haven't used one yet. They have blunted needles also.

How long they last also depends on what carto you are using. Regular cartos hold about a ml of juice maybe a little more. I use the Ressurector cartos and they hold alittle over 2ml of juice. Ive been vaping 2 flavors alot lately and I just fill one carto with each of them in the morning and I'm easily good all day. Some cartos hold even more so you can fill up even less often. Smoktech makes a dual coil cartomizer that is specifically designed for the EPower and it holds over 5ml of juice.
Personally I really like the Reasurectors because I hate how dual coils drain batteries quicker. The ressurectors are a single coil but many people think their vapor production is similar to a dual coil. They were designed to be used on a 3.7v PV like the E-Power or Riva, but they can be used on an eGo. I noticed though you don't get their full potential on an eGo, but still nice. I thing that anyone that has a PV with a 510 connection and the right voltage should try them. I think they are the perfect size. Their not big and bulky like a tank is and fit easily in your pocket. Yet they still hold 2ml of juice which will last most people all day. And for the fact that they are only about .50 cents more than the boges, you really can't go wrong with them. They last a really long time as well. 2 of them I've been using for about 3 and a half weeks an the longest I got out of one was alittle over 5 weeks. And since I've started using them I have not gotten one DOA yet, and that's no DOA in about 15 5-packs

    Thanks so much, all

So far I have purchased the Riva 510 dual coil carto deluxe starter kit (comes with 2 batteries, 5 smoke tech XL dual coil cartomizers, 2 cones, a carrying case and usb charger), 3 additional atomizers, 10 additional extra blank cartridges, 5 additional Smoke Tech Cartomizers, 1 more extra battery and a variety of juice (6 different 5 ml flavors to test).

Then, I also purchased the Smoke Tech E-power 14650 kit (comes with 2 batteries, 1 charger, 2 atomizers, 1 battery tube, 1 switch, 1 cone, 1 button protector, 5 pre-fillled cartridges, 5 pack of Resurrectors, and 1 30 ml bottle of juice) and an extra 5 pack of the resurrectors.

I think that will do for beginners? Although I'm thinking of buying a smaller cig clone version of the 510 or the KR8 just to have a smaller one on hand as well.

I started with the Njoy 2 years ago also and had the same not-so-good experience. Here's my recommendation after two years of buying everything on the market:

Husband: Get him a Darwin from Nhaler, 2.0 stainless Boge 2.0 cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping, a 3ml Lil Mama tank from Big Daddy Vapor, and his favorite ejuice. (Learn here how to put a hole or 'slice' in the carto for putting in the tank)

For you: Actually the same as for your husband but if you weren't a heavy smoker, you will love the eGo or Riva or the Echo (a little better than an eGo), and use the same cartos as above. (You can decide on getting a Darwin after trying out your husbands)

    You're welcome.
Nice arsenal you've got there jlazarus. Congrats on working it all out. Just remember some quit immediately while others cut down on their analogs. This is no race so relax and enjoy. Please do come back and tell us what you think. That's the best part.
Happy Vaping and Good Luck on your New Journey, Vapoor.

Sounds great! Best of luck and let us know when you get it.

That is awesome!!! If you cant decide get both! i love it.

Did you get your E-Power from Crystal Clear Vaping? It sounds like you did with them coming with the Ressurectors. What juice did you pick for your free one? I highly recommend the Black & Mild juice. It is delicious and has a lot of flavor. Has a very nice maple flavor on the exhale. Ita been one of my all day vapes lately. Good call on getting another pack of Ressurectors too. Thats what I did when I ordered mine. Your going to get a syringe with them. I highly recommend you use it to fill your cartos. Its very simple and wil ensure they are not overfilled or underfilled.

I think your really going to like both kits. If you like decide you like the Dual Coil XL Cartos that you got with your Riva, SmokTek, not to be confused with SmokeTech, makes a Dual Coil Cartomizer designed specifically for the E-Power.
Its 1.5ohms and holds alittle over 5ml of juice.

    Goodluck with everything!!

Aw, just a few minutes too late! However, I've bookmarked this thread (for reference since there's so much good detail in here), and we may end up with your recommendation for the hubby in the future! Thanks!

I did get the e-power from CCV - however, I must of missed something during checkout because I don't recall choosing a flavor? Hmmm....I'll email them and ask.

Yeah you were supposed to put the flavor you wanted in the comment box at checkout. What I would do is call him first thing tomorrow morning. Make sure you don't wait bc if you do he might ship it and then he's just going to pick one. I would call him and not email in case he doesn't check It right away.

I don't know what kind of juices you like but like I said earlier I really like the black & mild. I think it's a really good juice to use when your first trying to get off cigs. It really packs a bunch and is very flavorful. I found it to be pretty satisfying when I first got off cigs. I just ordered 2 more 30ml bottles because I still find it to he one of my favorite juices, even tho I have tried A LOT of different juices since I've started.
I can't give you any advice about any of the other juices bc I've never tried them but I know the black & mild is the most popular. When I ordered mine I asked what was good and what a lot of people order and he said the black & mild.
If your looking for a good juice that produces a ton of vapor and has good th I would go with the black & mild.
Honestly it really doesn't taste anything like you think it is going to but it's really good. I don't really think it tastes like a black & mild, but I'm okay with that bc I don't like them anyways. It is slightly sweet but in a good way and I think it's a great tobacco juice to get you started. It has a tasty maple like flavor on the exhale that is very very flavorful.

Goodluck with everything and please update when you get your new toys!!
Also if you have any questions about your Epower let me know. I can generally answer them. Or check out that thread I wrote about the Epower. A bunch of people asked questions that I answered for them on there.

    Goodluck !!

Sorry jlazarus I didn't get back sooner in answer to your question about why I use the 510 for the stronger juice. My eGo is the passthru, so it's hooked up to my comp most of the time, so I can vape my favorite juice all day without worrying about it running down, the 510 is a smaller battery, so it doesn't last as long. So I use it mainly when i just want that stronger hit once in a while. I can still put any other flavor carto on the 510 and take it when I go out, or put the stronger juice on my eGo and go if I prefer. Just my way of doing it :).
