That is on My list to read, haven't got to it yet. I seen the film, witch i did enjoy but I'm pretty sure I read some where it strayed quite a bit. And I'm sure either way the book would blow the film out of the water even more than the usually do
I didn't see the film, so I can't comment there. Jim Carroll didn't actually keep a diary during that time and basically attempted to recreate the events from memory. There are a few errors in the timeline. Speaking of The Basketball Diaries, this song seems appropriate. (It also matches with "waiting")
