Trading my e9 for something better!

Hi everyone. I am a n00b at vaping. Quite honestly I'm not so much replacing an analog cigarette habit (I quit 3 years ago and only smoke on rare occasions) as I am a hookah habit. I've been smoking hookah almost every night ever since I quit smoking "analog". I'm ready to give my lungs a break and try something new.

The problem is, I actually believed all the people who said that my e9 model (I'm not going to name names here) was the latest technology and had the best vapor production and was worth the 120 bucks I spent on the starter kit. It wasn't. I'm waiting until I successfuly get my money back and I'm moving on up. Now I have lots of time to do research on what to buy.

Here's what I was thinking. I'd like to get two kits, a manual 510 PCC kit and a manual eGo starter kit. I like the fact that I can get both of those kits for less than what I paid for one inferior kit! I also like the idea that the carts and attys are interchangeable. I can use the 510 when I'm out and the eGo at home. From what I've researched here, this is the way to go, but I'm open to advice. I'm not sure if the posts recommending these models are really up to date.

I've also seen websites selling cartos for the 510. Does anyone have a preference for cartos vs attys with carts on the 510? I'd be curious to find out.

Oh, I also thought of a GREAT ecig idea. A hookah style ecig! A huge battery base for the vase and tons of room for a long atty and cart. What do you guys think? Haha

As I started with an E9, which is a KR808D-2, I can give you some insight. I should mention, that I successfully used the E9 to quit a 26 year analog habit. It took a little time to learn how to use it correctly and refill the cartos, but it is a very good PV. There isn't a PV that's "better" than another. They just perform differently.

I had started reading about the Joye 510 kits, and purchased one. I was disappointed in the battery life, carts, & the standard ohm attys. I ended up giving the kit away and going back to my E9, wondering what the 510 fuss was even about.

When Liberty Flights began selling the Riva SE (an eGo clone) for 20% off, I decided that for $35, I would give the 510 platform another try. There are a lot of options with the 510 platform & I wanted to try and make it work for me.

Since I had only used cartos and didn't have much experience with atomizers, I purchased several different types of cartos (Boge, E2R4XL's, etc)...IMO they still didn't have the flavor I was getting from a properly used E9. The major advantage, at this point, was that the cartos held more liquid and the batteries lasted longer.

The next step was to give the atomizers a try. The Riva SE kit comes with 2.0ohm low resistance attys. So, I bought a drip tip, and gave it a try. A totally different experience than cartos. I have to say, I liked it. The problem became that I can't drip and drive, plus I wasn't thrilled with carrying around a coat pocket full of juice bottles.

My next purchase was a Reo Grand juice box. This was even better! One device...long lasting battery life...attys...juice bottle enclosed in the box!!! How could this be bad? Well, it isn't. The best of all worlds, IMO.

So, now I have four self feeding juice box mods...2 Phidias, a Monkeyboxx, and the Grand...they are all awesome!

Could I stop there? Hell NO! Now I have a ProVari variable voltage mod to play with too!

If there is one thing you can learn from me...there really isn't one PV that's "better" than another. I still use all of my devices. I still love all of my devices. I can now pick and choose which PV is going to be best for the occasion and surroundings.

The one thing that won't change is that I buy the best damn juice available, and IMO, that is Backwoods Brew!!!
