Well after many weeks of trouble with the Trading standards there is actually light at the end of the tunnel after many tests on the cartridges and electrical safety tests we finally have the go ahead to sell with their support all we are waiting for now is child proof containers for the cartridges and raised triangle toxic hazard stickers for the containers and we are back in action. Not bad its only cost us around £25,000 in lost sales and a further £6000 in new packaging even after complying fully they still wont let us put on our website or our packaging ecig the safer way to smoke does this make sense even after our products have been tested. It seems that the 2 Trading standards people that were here did not have a clue what they are talking about and its these people that are ruining our country and the buisnesses within it. Even when talking about returns the law states that the customer can open a cartridge container and if they don't tell us we will never know as legally they can look at it but what happens if the customer has a disease we ask and returns it to us telling us its unused within 7 days the trading standards reply we will have to give them refund under new distant trading laws and resell the product. I have to say we wont be reselling any cartridges as this is totally unacceptable. Also we have had to put stickers on our kits saying highly irratable to skin as contains nicotine. So watch out all the trading standards are coming and even though the 2 in our case didnt agree with what they had to enforce they wouldnt back down or argue it with their superiors but well at least I can sleep at night knowing we are compliant

Hi

I have just seen the comment from Norwich. we were visited by Ts last week, and told we could not sell our Ecis model - no CHIPS warniings. We had already started using childproof bottles sourced frm the states. .

Also asking for tests on the carts - but will not say what tests they require. Can you tell me where you had yours done, what tests were used and the costs? They will not accept my doing the tests though it has to be the importer.

To keep supply flowing I bought from Jason, as his product was OK'd after a lot of work, chidlproof bottles, warnings etc,a ll of which we have in hand - and my TS officer demanded to see this before he would OK its sale. He approved it, but when i got back to the office had e mailed to say couldnt sell it because the charger "looked like" one - desay" charger that was disappoved in Derbyshire.

would appreciate ANY help at all on this. Our supplier is getting all the packaging sorted - TS will not accept the certification DS that she has provided frot he cartridge, but have not yet arranged for their own testing.

Any hints please?

Also, if yours is going to be legal and approved - how about wholesaling to me for a while!

finally had a call from an online advertising/directory just now who say that one guy here is claiming that h he has othe UK poatent and that the rest of us wil have to stop selling - David is this you??
