Travelling & vaping: Customs? Flying?

Hi, am new here...
I have a question about flying, as I want to fly home to Australia later this year and am not sure about taking my e-cig on the plane with me.....
Has anyone had any experience with flying and vaping? I've heard that some airlines don't allow it, and that if you sneak a vape in the loos it will set off the fire alarm because they're very sensitive.... Not that I'd do that of course!

Also, how do customs & security react to e-cigs?

Would really appreciate any info and/or links to other threads that have already discussed this, thanks.

I've seen a lot of travel tips in the Travel section on here. Couple more posts and you'll be able to access into it and post there.

Thank you Frosting! Love your profile pic, making me hungry! Haven't worked out how to change/make mine, but when I do, I'll be taking a photo of my marigolds too (yours are lovely, btw) :)

It's a law that you can't vape on a plane. They want you to put your PV in your carry on luggage, so it's not in the cargo area of the plane. While ecigs don't produce smoke, so setting off a fire alarm is not possible, I wouldn't recommend you vape in the loo. As far as the whole thing, just be upfront and honest. The people who work at airports are, thankfully, very informed about ecigs and know what they are, so you won't have to go into a whole speel about them.

Thanks Kay, will keep that in mind! Cheers.
