So I bought the 510N on major discount from ElectronicStix.Com You're Premier Vaping Vendor Since 2008 $40. I figured why the heck not since I have been using joye 510 batteries only since I started vaping.

I bought the 510N before I realized that LR attys and Dual coils won't work on it. Dual coils are my new favorite, so in a panic I scoured the internet and found that Scott from ECig Wizard in the UK had success using 17670 1600mAh batteries in his 510N with LR attys. So I bought a set of 17670 ultrafire batteries before I realized that I needed the 1600mAh instead of the 1800 mAh black batteries that Scott used.

Sooooo, I accidentally put the battery(no-brand grey 18670 factory kit battery) in upside down, as in the negative side up. It was a complete accident, and when I screwed the top on, the atty was on full blast and wouldn't stop. The light was off however. I was using a regular 510 joye atty.

I then unscrewed the cap thinking there was a malfunction and screwed it back on. The same thing happened. The atty was on full blast, no light, and hitting the button did nothing to turn it off. I unscrewed the cap again and it turned off. I then decided I was going to try a LR atty. I screwed that on and then screwed in the cap, and it worked, though it would not stop.

I then decided that I wanted to try one of the new ultrafire 17670 1800 mAh batteries that I ordered that didn't work with the LR or Dual Coils the first time I tried. This is when I realized that the battery was in upside down. I then turned it around the right way, positive side up, and now my LR and Dual Coils are working with the factory 18670 battery and the new ultrafire 17670 1800 mAh batteries.

BTW, if you are using the clear plastic Dual Coils, the drip cover will not fit, but will fit with the metal Dual Coils...and look really sweet with the chrome Dual Coils.

Whatever I did must have primed something in the circuit board to enable the factory batteries to power the LR and Dual Coils. though I can't be sure that this thing will blow up in my face now...though there are no odd sounds and its not getting overly hot. I've tried all of my LR attys and metal and clear dual coils and they all work now with both kinds of batteries.

I'd love to find out if this works for anyone else. I had just ordered a set of the black 17670 1600 mAH batteries that Scott uses in his video review of the 510N....so now I'll have 6 batteries for this thing. The order shipped like 10 min ago I can cancel it. darn it.

oddly, I couldn't use the LR or Dual Coils and found a few threads here and on other forums where other people where having the same issue, including Scott who does a plethora of reviews and runs ECigWizard.com. I figured it was an issue with it as a whole. I guess it's not. Perhaps just a batch of them. But I fixed it so I'm happy about that.

Its made in China...so I'm not surprised. Glad it worked well for you and probably some others who see my thread and wonder, "WTF is wrong with her".
