A few days ago I noticed the fire button on my Chi clone get hot. I then broke everything down and didn't find anything odd until I got to my Atty. I immediately noticed the insulator looking weird. Im pretty sure its shorting from there. Is there a way to fix it or is time to go rda shopping? I'm using my Rsst for now (is great) but nothing beats a dripper IMO.

I don't have a Trident, but I have a IGO that I modified for bottom feeding (by drilling a hole through the center post to let juice through). In doing that I had a real good look at the area where the insulator is and I think they are all pretty much the same. IMO unless you can replace that insulator, which will probably mean machining a new one, I think your Trident is toast.

OTOH, if it's a real Trident instead of a clone I would talk to the manufacturer. They might be able to help you out.

Best of luck with it!
