Say,even though I tought I cleaned it well (hot water toothbrush and q-tips,vigorously) I still have a somewhat light soapy taste;

Should I disassemble and clean again (concentrating on ceramic piece) or will it go away in a few toots?

Take the ceramic out, attach a wire to it, then burn it under a flame for a few seconds. Check out igetch69s video on it.

The best way to get rid of the soapy taste is to hold the rebuildable part (ceramic and the metal part the ceramic sits in) in a flame, gas stove or blow torch.

Watch this.

The taste will stay if you use just soap and water, it may diminish after time.

I have toi admit I was a TV Atomic Cinnacide fiend for months and my hat is off to you for even trying it on a .9ohm coil!

On the soapy taste, good info above. If you don't have a blue flame source readily availbe, what worked for me was a short boil in milK (3 minutes). That is an idea that came to this forum from one of the European servers.

Yeah<i went ahead and used a small propane blow torch I have...but now it seems after reassembly that I have no air going in,so it feels plugged (totally) any pointer?

Edit: got it...it doesnt really like the eGo stick.

If you can't get the ceramic out of the SS part will there be any issues with heat treating both parts together?

you gotta be careful doing it that way....with the different expansion coeficients of both materials during heating, you do have a chance of the SS cracking the ceramic...

I couldn't remove the ceramic from one of mine without breaking it so I torched both together no problem, didn't hurt the ceramic.
