If you don't have a blue flame source readily availbe, what worked for me was a short boil in milf (3 minutes). That is an idea that came to this forum from one of the European servers.

I used a flame (not blue) on my ceramic. It is now black. What do I do now LOL

That's carbon build up from a yellow flame, burn it clean using a blue flame such as a gas stove, a butane or map torch etc

Like VP says and keep heating it till it glows, mine went black at first and it was like what have I done.

Kept it in the flame longer and it started to glow and it burnt all the black off.

But... Ah man this Ody has been a pain in the ..... My first one had to be replaced... so I received my second on Thursday (the replacement). Ceramic broke very soon after (it was cracked when I received it). Soaked the ceramic in vodka for 18 hrs. No help. Boiled in milk. No help. I just want to spend $130 for a tank and be able to put a coil in and run it. Kind of disappointing. Almost a month now and I have not been able to vape it once like it was intended.

I don't have a butane, map torch or gas stove (I live in an apartment complex). So now I have to go spend more money in order to vape this thing.

Right! I hope so too. I got a taste of what Ody can do, which makes it so much more frustrating because I am so eager to get my juice in there and vape away!

nothing will happen Yak. The most possible is that metal will come developed so ceramic will come out easier

If you can't get the ceramic out of the SS part will there be any issues with heat treating both parts together?

IN Scott`s vid he says to open it 1 full turn when we get less flavor;do I leave it open or just open then close?

Just made another dual coil at 1.8 ohms and a single coil at 2.3

yeppers, same....only time I close it is to fill it, or when It's in my holster or shirt pocket...dont want any spillage lol
