I just picked up a new aspire triton and was so excited. I was told by the guy who sold it to me ( owner of the store) that the Atlantis coils work in it as well. Neither the coils in the box or the Atlantis coils seem to be working right. It all seems authentic aspire and not rip offs. No matter what juice or wattage I out it on I keep getting random burnt hits or a slight burnt taste. Sometimes it super burnt but the coils don't look damaged in any way. It seems put together correctly as I've checked the aspire website and it's turned to the vapor symbol on the top. Also the vapor production is very weak even when I close the top airflow all the way. What gives? The guy who sold it won't be in until tomorrow so I'm going crazy !

Did you properly prime the heads before pressing the fire button?
What power range are you trying?
Did you let the heads ' break in' using lower power or just crank it up right out of the gate?
Seems authentic? they either are or aren't, the only way to tell is to enter the scratch off security code into the authentication area on their site.

I always prime the Aspire coils twice with about ten or so drops of juice. They are packed with cotton. I then slowly ramp up the wattage. Usually takes a tank or two before they are really ready for prime time has been my experience. I also wasn't happy with the performance of the .4 that came with it so popped in an Atlantis v2 .3 and have been enjoying it since. Ummm.

Check to see if the juice channels in the coil are showing in the slots. I have to slightly loosen mine to get them lined up.

This. I got my Triton about a month ago, and have been fairly unimpressed. The Triton .3 coil says its rated from 70 -80W if I recall. But anywhere near that range and I'd get dry hits all the time. I had to loosen my tank nearly a quarter turn so that the juice channel and holes were lined up. Made it much better, although not completely. (It might be that coil was too far gone by the time I had done this.) Anyway, I put my 1.8 in there and have been enjoying great flavor, but I might try another .4 or even the Atlantis V2 .3 as suggested. If I can't get this Triton working better, I might just trade it away.

I can't testify about high wattage because the highest I have run it at is 60 watts (so far) .... But, everything is working great. I have seen a few threads where people are complaining big time about this specific tank and I don't get it. I don't believe in luck per Se so i don't imagine I just lucked out with this tank......... I have always experience good airflow, good taste and no dry hits.
