Yes, exactly!

I really wish people wouldn't do this. When I think of all the time and money I wasted in my first months of vaping because all the reviews for some item were over-the-top great, only to find that The Coolest Tank of All Time leaked like a sieve, or the World's Yummiest juice tasted like car wax, I really have to wonder why so few people dare to buck the trend on this.

If somebody asks for an honest opinion before spending his hard earned money on something, I hardly think we're doing him any favors by calling those who are contributing useful information "trolls" just because their experiences were less than stellar. It really ruins the whole point of comparing opinions.

(Having said all that, I must say that I find the ProVari threads outright hilarious. I hope they never, ever stop.)

To be fair. The taste of juices good or bad varies tremendously from person to person. I tend to take juice reviews with a huge grain of salt.

Ladiekali, no offense intended. I was part of that thread, and only mentioned that the non-boxed innokin product did not have an authenticity sticker on it so you could not validate whether it was authentic or not.

We all know that counterfeit e-cig products exist, and in the case of LiIon batteries, the end result of poorly manufactured product can be life threatening.

My first iTaste did not have an authenticity sticker (as they did not exist yet) but I knew the reputation of the vendor so never had any doubts in my mind that it was an authentic Innokin product.

Your product, however, was purchased without a box at a rock bottom price, so it was mentioned that it was worth investigating. You performed an investigation and you got a satisfactory answer from the vendor.

It's preferable that you get a little upset at the possibility that you bought counterfeit product, and do your due diligence than for you to wake up one morning with your night stand on fire because you got a cheap fake.

No offense taken because that was written elloquently and respectful.
I did look into it and did post my findings, and that forum wouldnt drop it, so i dropped the thread. I'm still new to this forum and trying to figure out if i want to stick around or not. I dont know i like the people that send private messages instead of disrupting a thread. I think that helps things run smoother.
Not even saying anything about you personally.

Some people really remind me of my ex, just like to rile you up... And some people have things going on in life which cause sensitivity as well. I am 36 years old and generally dont call people doody heads, even though i WAS LAUGHING when i wrote that. My hubby comes home from deployment tomorrow so im prolly more sensitive than usual. He will die laughing when i show him that post.

Wont be lauhing so much when he finds out how much two provaris cost!

I just put the first and only person on my ignore list today ... someone who continually posts to have the last word.

He will even post 5 times in a row ... getting the last word on everybody he disagrees with, one by one.
I think I have 3 people total on my iggy list in the 8 months or so I have been here. One of them never posts anymore and I could probably remove.

I find that when someone pushes my buttons enough that I am tempted to say something that might break the rules it is just time to walk away from the computer for awhile. It isn't until a specific person does that repeatedly that they hit the list.

What percentage of the population do you think can have a rational discourse without crumbling?
I'm thinking that percentage is about 5% or maybe 10% at best.

It's an incredibly rare skill/ability to have.

Until we solve that problem, this is what we get.
And that problem can't be solved.

Most of those 5% are in our OUTSIDE section, but don't tell them I said that. :D

If somebody is offended by the content in a post, and reports it, we have to take the matter into consideration and action it regardless of what I may or may not think about it. It's as simple as that!

^this post offended me. i n v e s t i g a t e and get back to me. impatient.gif

And I would bet $1000 that I know exactly who that is.
And I'm not even sure I've seen the thread in question yet.

I have actually found this forum to be relatively free from serious trolls. I belong to several video game related forums and am quiet the legendary poster in a few of them. They are vicious, vile and harsh places where we troll each other on hardware, OS, skill, literary and many other things. Most here can be relegated to the blind fan person mentality. It is tame here and the mods work hard to keep it friendly, kinda refreshing actually. Keeping on topic is another issue entirely.

Oh, you really should buy a Provari AND an MVP 2, so you can swag like a baws. Haters gonna hate.

How is this post any less of a waste of forum space than the eGo vs. Provari thread? At least that thread had something to do with vaping. This thread has nothing to do with vaping, is posted in the General E-Smoking Discussion sub, and is left open by the mods. This makes absolutely no sense to me.

We're not talking about wasted forum space here.. But you make a very good point!
